Overview:

Horizen Labs is looking for an experienced communications and content Manager with deep expertise in Web3 and blockchain technology to lead content strategy and engagement across our protocol and corporate brands.

This role will focus primarily on supporting Horizen—our zero-knowledge protocol undergoing major upgrades and ecosystem expansion—while also contributing to Horizen Labs’ thought leadership and brand presence.

We're looking for a creative and strategic storyteller who can connect with developers, builders, and the broader Web3 community through meaningful content and communications. You should be excited to grow alongside a fast-moving blockchain organization that values quality, trust, and long-term vision.

What You’ll Own:Strategic Communications & Content
  • Develop and execute cross-channel content strategies tailored for Horizen and Horizen Labs.
  • Create high-quality content including blogs, announcements, threads, community updates, and email newsletters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure brand consistency across messaging.
  • Position Horizen as a thought leader in privacy, ZK and other privacy innovations.
  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.

Social Media Content Creation and Publishing:

  • Create on-brand, engaging posts for social media.
  • Plan and maintain the social media calendar and make sure it’s up-to-date
  • Schedule and publish content on social media platforms
  • Plan and execute online events, including AMAs, quests, and community calls, to boost engagement and awareness.

Trend Awareness and Reactive Content:

  • Stay on top of Web3 news cycles, cultural trends, an1d ZK/privacy narratives.
  • Proactively engage with the web3 user and project accounts on social media via comments, replies, quote tweets.
  • Identify real-time opportunities to inject Horizen's perspective into larger industry conversations.

Community Engagement and Social Growth:

  • Build and manage active communities across X, Telegram, Discord, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
  • Plan and execute AMAs, community calls, quests, and other engagement activations.
  • Moderate conversations, respond to community questions, and surface meaningful feedback.
  • Act as a bridge between community voices and internal stakeholders.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Track and report on content and community performance (engagement, growth, retention, sentiment).
  • Optimize strategies based on data-driven insights and qualitative feedback.
  • Own weekly/monthly community health updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Gather and relay community feedback to the product and marketing teams to inform internal strategies.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and business development teams to align community and social engagement efforts with company-wide objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with product, BD, and developer relations to support major initiatives like token migrations, network upgrades, hackathons, and grant programs.
  • Provide messaging support and community engagement planning around launches and ecosystem events.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in Web3 marketing, content, or communications, preferably at a protocol
  • Deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems and the broader crypto culture.
  • Proven success in growing engaged audiences across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong editorial voice.
  • Comfortable using MarTech tools, AI productivity platforms, analytics dashboards, and social schedulers.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and emotionally intelligent in high-velocity environments.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience in protocol launches and growth marketing   
  • Experience supporting developer-facing initiatives or technical content.
  • Background in journalism, media, or strategic comms.
  • Familiarity with zero-knowledge infrastructure protocols/ecosystem.
