JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Responsible for working with bankers to actively manage the sales prospect pipeline, prepare for, and conduct client investment meetings and financial reviews in a virtual environment on a centralized team.
  • Provides financial advice primarily to new and existing banking customers in order to be perceived as a knowledgeable and trusted advisor on matters relating to investment planning, retirement planning, and education planning. Advisor should be able to provide clients a detailed analysis of their needs as well as a strategy to implement this plan. When appropriate, refer clients to Wealth Consultants for more in-depth financial and estate planning needs.
  • Develops new business and additions to existing accounts to meet annual financial Works in collaboration with Retail Partners, Wealth Management Officers, and other organization contacts.
  • Maintains knowledge of the client’s financial, investment, and insurance needs and objectives. Takes appropriate action as warranted due to changes in (a) client situation, needs, or objectives, (b) changes in the legal or regulatory landscape; or (c) economic situation. Monitors client portfolios to assure conformity with client risk tolerance and goals. Recommends insurance advice and products appropriately.
  • Completes periodic reviews for client Profile clients for additional services including: insurance, DDA and savings accounts, cash management/deposit services, and home mortgage loans to ensure a quality client experience.
  • Maintains a superior knowledge of most investment products, e.g. securities, mutual funds, advisory accounts, annuities, and insurance to provide unbiased financial recommendations to all types of clients that suit their needs effectively and reasonably.
  • Responsible for handling all client maintenance and service-related requests (including, but not limited to: money movement, new accounts, transfers, onboarding, and account maintenance). Will provide client service support for Wealth Consultants on an as needed basis.
  • Provides investment advice and planning guidance to Department staff, organization employees, clients, and centers of influence. Uses expertise to assist other Department officers in resolving client issues and complaints.
  • Provides a level of service that cultivates referrals from existing clients. Responds promptly to internal and external referrals, attends organization functions, and works closely with other areas of Wealth Management. Exercises independent judgment in resolving client inquiries and responds to client requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Works in conjunction with the broker/dealer firm LPL Financial, the representative is responsible for maintaining a high level of activity, a high degree of professional and ethical financial recommendations to clients, performed in a manner so as to be in compliance with all state, federal, SEC and other regulatory agencies.
  • Understands and adheres to all Departmental policies and procedures involving account administration. Maintains client files accordingly with appropriate documentation in support of compliance, regulatory, audit, and examination directives.
  • Pursues training, educational and self-development opportunities—not only to assure mandatory continuing education requirements are satisfied but to increase skill level and remain current on financial, investment, tax, estate and retirement developments and laws.
  • Demonstrates compliance with banking laws and regulations as defined in company policies and procedures pertinent to position.
  • Regular attendance is essential to this position.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 3-5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Registration with the FINRA, SEC and State Life, Accident, and Health Insurance (of Mass.) Licenses needed to perform this job include a Series 7, 66 (or 63, 65).  CFP Preferred, but not required.  Valid Driver’s License.

Salary Range:    $65,000 - $80,000 plus incentives.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, and performance. This range may be modified in the future.
