About the Role:

The VP of Sales leads our sales team that serves the independent tax preparation market, responsible for achieving desired growth, strengthens our relationships with our partners, develops sales strategies that align with company objectives, creates a culture of results-oriented behavior among the team, collaborates with other leaders in maintaining our strong brand image with the highest standards of professional conduct.

What You Will Do:

  • Sets and achieves revenue, budget, growth, market share, and profitability objectives for the Tax division sales team.
  • Provides leadership and direction to Sales and Support teams, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, performance expectations, and business priorities.
  • Recruits, develops, coaches, and evaluates sales personnel to build and sustain a high-performing sales organization.
  • Develops and executes sales strategies, business plans, and forecasts that support long-term business growth and competitive positioning.
  • Manages and retains strategic partners and key accounts through proactive relationship management and account strategies.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with industry influencers, strategic partners, key stakeholders, and trade associations to strengthen market presence and brand awareness.
  • Represents the company at industry events, conferences, partner meetings, and other forums to promote products, services, and brand reputation.
  • Leads contract negotiations and supports the successful closure of strategic opportunities and partnerships.
  • Collaborates with Product, Operations, Technology, Marketing, Enrollment, Compliance, senior leadership, and other partners to enhance product offerings, customer experience, go-to-market strategies, and sales campaigns.
  • Uses Salesforce CRM strategy, data integrity, metrics, industry trends, market insights, and performance reporting to improve pipeline visibility, inform decisions, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Typically 12+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in client-facing leadership in the financial services or tax industry.
  • In depth knowledge of the operations of the Tax division and/or industry.
  • Solid understanding of technology and operational process required to deliver and support new products.
  • Must possess exceptional financial acumen to include working with P&L’s, reading partner and Pathward Financial metrics, trend analysis, and other financial tools.
  • Must display proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have experience in CRM functionality
  • Ability to communicate, influence, and maintain relationships with senior leaders and C-level executives
  • Financial acumen
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills

Salary range: $125,000– $208,000

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.
This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive opportunity.  Pathward offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including health insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, paid time off, and more.
