We're also in the business of creating thriving employees. Join a mission-driven culture built on our core values of Simplify, Care and Act. We know our people are the key to our success, and we're proud to be home to some of the most innovative and skilled individuals in the workforce today. Come feel invigorated and unstoppable with us!
The Role
The VP of Revenue Marketing reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is accountable for how Bloomerang generates new business demand and revenue. Buyer journeys, integrated campaigns, account-based sales and marketing plays, search and AI visibility, paid search, the website, and conversion optimization are your pillars for growth.
Success in the role is driving month-over-month and year-over-year new account acquisition, pipeline, and bookings growth in partnership with Business Development, Sales, and Marketing leadership. You are responsible for the complete demand and conversion engine that takes nonprofits on their journey with Bloomerang.
You lead through the leaders on your team, you influence how the wider Marketing Team works, and you are a visible, trusted leader with your peers across the business.
Key Outcomes
Success in this role is not a set of responsibilities and checking boxes. These are strategic outcomes tied to nonprofit success and ultimately, Bloomerang’s success.
Our volume keeps growing, and it comes from more places than it has before. Paid search, organic and direct have served us well and they keep compounding. You get us (and the team) ahead of where volume will be next. By partnering with demand leaders, you enable our innovation in visibility via a multi-year view of where our volume comes from, and a funded plan to build it.
We win in market segments we have not pursued yet, while the core engine continues to expand. You identify, size, and build the go-to-market account-based marketing and sales playbooks for those segments with your team and GTM leadership. Your integrated campaigns team keeps Marketing in lockstep with the Sales and Business Development motions; activating and opting-in target accounts while the engine that carries the number keeps pacing to beat the plan.
Buyers get an experience built for where they actually are. Much of our funnel is built to catch buyers who arrive ready. You and the team build the next buyer journey layer that meets everyone else via modern integrated campaigns, nurtures, and personalization at scale; using the best tooling available. The results are seen via conversion and velocity performance through the funnel, not just volume at the top.
Marketing, Business Development and Sales run one plan, and together we drive it. You help build, refine and hold the reverse waterfall with your GTM peers as genuine partners and collaborators. It is one goal, one set of numbers, co-signed, that survives even if it is not perfect. When something needs attention, GTM leaders come to you because you will dig in and solve it with them.
Every bet we make has evidence. You know the channels, sources and run-rates cold. You continually run experiments with your team (and cross-functionally) to prove a play at a small scale, then execute what works. And just as important, cut what does not perform. When we fund a program, you show the work so GTM and Executive Leadership can support the reasoning, not just the idea.
Growth investment goes where it compounds, and everyone can see why. You are responsible for the full programmatic, demand software and demand campaign budget. Smart investment allocation is the primary growth lever to scale the business. You and the team decide where it goes, including moving it between channels and sources (even sometimes teams), and you align leadership before any significant shift.
Marketing produces higher quality outcomes next year than this year, with the same number of people. You help drive the AI agenda for the whole department, not just your team. Which workflows agents run, how much autonomy each earns, who stays accountable for the output. You help set the standard and the pace, and you inspire the other functions to come with you.
Your team grows, and your influence reaches beyond marketing. You are a leader first. The leaders on your team design the strategy and run the day-to-day, and you put your energy where it strengthens the team most. You earn the respect across the business that gets your team’s innovations backed. People grow under you, and the best marketers want to join your team.
The sector knows who you are. You present, you speak, and you take the stage. Your regular conversations with fundraising and nonprofit leaders bring insight back into the revenue marketing and product teams. At this level you shape how the market sees Bloomerang, not only how the business runs.
What You Will Do
- You are both halves of the brain: an operator and a strategist. You are deep enough in the core engine that drives growth performance (GEO, organic, paid, website experiences, and campaigns) to refine it with the team, and creative enough to see quarters in advance and know what comes next. You have grown a demand engine through a channel shift: you spotted the change in the mix, worked through it, and got your team ahead of it. You can tell us the before, the after, and what you would do differently.
- You lead leaders, and you are an energizer. You grew your leaders into stronger cross-functional leaders than when you found them. You have inherited a team, raised the bar, and had people follow you to the next thing. You bring pace and optimism, you stay level-headed when things are difficult, and people dig in and do their best work with you.
- You have delivered growth at this rate before. You know what breaks at that pace, and you have built through it rather than around it.
- You cannot imagine working without AI anymore. You have redesigned real marketing workflows with agents rather than attended a training. You can tell the difference between output that is good and output that is merely fast, and you get genuinely energized by what this makes possible for a team.
- You prove it before you scale it. You make decisions from completed tests, not personal wants or conviction. You have cancelled your own good idea because the data did not support it, and you can tell us about it without flinching.
- GTM leaders want you in the room. You have carried a shared number with a sales leader, and neither of you needed a mediator. Your Sales, Marketing, and Business Development peers would tell us you made their number easier to hit.
- You are comfortable in front of the market. You can carry a stage, a webinar, a discussion with nonprofit executives and industry influencers. You are credible with the Senior Leadership Team and the Executive Team.
- You respect a buyer who may not be a technologist. Our buyers are fundraisers and nonprofit leaders. They are passionate, time-constrained, mission-driven people who do not have time to decode jargon. Marketing should make them feel confident, hopeful and excited to learn from Bloomerang.
