About the Role:

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Vice President of Investor Relations to lead and elevate our engagement with the investment community. Reporting to the CFO and partnering closely with the Executive Leadership Team, this highly visible role will serve as a critical voice in shaping and communicating the company's strategic and financial narrative. This role is instrumental in positioning BJ’s within the capital markets and driving investor confidence in our long-term growth vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Investor Communications & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with BJ’s financial and operational goals.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the investment community, maintaining strong relationships with analysts and investors.
  • Represent the company in investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows to promote BJ’s investment thesis.

Financial Disclosure & Messaging

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of quarterly earnings releases, management scripts, Q&A documents, and related materials.
  • Craft and refine investor-facing presentations, including key messages for quarterly calls, annual meetings, and investor events.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial disclosures, and proactively address investor concerns.
  • Support development of key messaging in SEC filings, annual reports, and proxy statements.

Engagement & Event Management

  • Manage the annual investor relations calendar, coordinating all earnings calls, analyst days, non-deal roadshows, and conferences.
  • Partner with Legal and Communications teams to coordinate the annual shareholder meeting, including logistics, materials, and scripts.
  • Lead governance-focused outreach programs with key institutional investors.

Market & Shareholder Intelligence

  • Monitor peer company disclosures, investor sentiment, and capital market trends to provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Track BJ’s stock activity, trading trends, and institutional shareholder data using financial tools and databases.
  • Benchmark industry best practices to evolve IR content, transparency, and disclosures.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Communications and Legal teams to align messaging.
  • Manage the company’s investor relations website and ensure timely updates and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee maintenance of the investor database, CRM tools, and analytics platforms.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • CFA, CPA, or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in an investor relations leadership role at a public company.
  • Experience in the retail or consumer goods sector highly preferred.
  • Proven experience working directly with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Deep understanding of financial statements, capital markets, and valuation principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial data into clear messaging.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate investor questions and concerns.
  • High emotional intelligence with a strong executive presence and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with ESG reporting and governance-focused communications a plus.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $212,000.00.
