Origin

Origin is building the first truly AI-native wealth manager for the mass market—bringing together money management, guidance, and financial products into a single intelligent platform. Our mission is to make sophisticated financial management accessible, simple, and automated for everyday households.

We’re building a durable, category-defining company at the intersection of AI, fintech, and consumer finance, with big ambitions for scale and long-term impact.

We are a fast-paced startup in the series B round, led by repeat founders and backed by leading VC firms like Founders Fund, Felicis, and General Catalyst.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on VP of Growth to build and scale Origin’s growth engine across paid, organic, creators, and lifecycle.

This is a player-coach role. You will not just manage. You will personally build, test, ship, measure, and iterate alongside a small, elite team. Your job is to turn Origin into a multi-channel, compounding growth machine—not a company dependent on one paid channel.

You’ll own growth strategy, execution, experimentation, and team leadership, with a relentless focus on speed, leverage, and measurable impact.

What You’ll Own1. End-to-End Growth

Own growth across:

  • Paid (Meta, TikTok, etc.)
  • Organic social
  • Creators / UGC
  • Lifecycle (onboarding, activation, retention, monetization)
  • Landing pages and funnels

Build and maintain a clear growth model:

  • CAC, LTV, payback
  • Cohorts and marginal ROI by channel

Allocate budget, time, and team based on data—not opinions.

2. Execution

Personally run experiments across:

  • Ad creative, hooks, and angles
  • Funnels and landing pages
  • Onboarding and activation flows
  • Offers, pricing, and messaging

Be in the tools:

  • Ad platforms
  • Analytics (GA, Amplitude/PostHog, etc.)
  • Experiment trackers
  • Spreadsheets and models

Build a weekly growth operating cadence with clear goals, experiments, and outcomes.

3. AI-First Growth & Creative Systems

You will build an AI-augmented growth engine that dramatically increases speed and output across creative, content, and experimentation.

Specifically, you will:

Use AI tools to multiply creative and content velocity, including:

  • Ad copy, hooks, and angles
  • Creative variants and UGC scripting
  • Landing page and funnel iteration
  • Email, push, and in-app messaging drafts

Build workflows that combine:

  • Humans for taste, judgment, and strategy
  • AI for speed, scale, and iteration

Apply AI to:

  • Creative ideation and iteration
  • Rapid testing frameworks
  • Lightweight analysis and insight generation
  • Research, synthesis, and competitive analysis

Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools that improve:

  • Throughput
  • Testing velocity
  • Cost efficiency
  • Time-to-learning

Your goal is to make Origin’s growth team structurally faster and more leveraged than traditional marketing teams.

4. Creative & Distribution Engine

Build a system for:

  • High-velocity creative testing
  • UGC and creator content pipelines
  • Repurposing organic → paid
  • Scaling what works, killing what doesn’t

Ensure paid, organic, and creators reinforce each other instead of operating in silos.

5. Team Leadership (Small, Elite, Fast)

Lead a lean, high-output growth team (e.g., performance, creator/content, design).

Set a culture of:

  • Shipping > talking
  • Testing > debating
  • Numbers > opinions

Coach ICs while staying deeply hands-on yourself.

6. Lifecycle & Monetization

Own the funnel beyond acquisition:

  • Activation
  • Engagement
  • Retention
  • Monetization

Partner with Product to:

  • Improve onboarding
  • Reduce time-to-value
  • Increase revenue per user

Turn product launches into growth moments, not just announcements.

What Success Looks Like
  • Channel diversification away from single-source paid
  • Faster creative and experiment velocity powered by AI workflows
  • Improved CAC, LTV, and payback
  • Stronger activation and retention metrics
  • A predictable, repeatable growth engine
  • A small team that feels “unfairly” productive for its size

Who You Are

You are:

  • A builder, not just a manager

Deeply fluent in:

  • Funnels, cohorts, CAC/LTV, payback
  • Experiment design and analysis

Comfortable living in both:

  • Strategy and execution
  • Creative and numbers
  • AI-native in how you work, not AI-curious

Someone who has:

  • Owned growth at a consumer or PLG company
  • Personally shipped and scaled channels
  • Built systems, not just campaigns
  • Clear examples of metrics you moved and how you did it

Bonus if you:

  • Have built custom workflows, automations, or internal tools
  • Have used AI to materially increase team output or speed in a prior rol
