Your Impact

Pearce from CBRE is seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Vice President of Business Development to help shape the next phase of growth for our EV Charging Services business. With an established leadership position and high market penetration, this leader will be responsible for protecting and expanding existing revenue while identifying new customers, service offerings, partnerships, and adjacent revenue streams that position Pearce for the significant long-term growth of the EV market. We are looking for a proven dealmaker with a strong point of view on where the EV charging ecosystem is headed and the commercial instincts to translate that perspective into revenue. This is a hands-on, player-coach role with focus on deepening strategic customer relationships, identifying emerging opportunities, opening doors, shaping solutions, and negotiating and closing complex deals. The ideal candidate brings deep EV and energy infrastructure expertise, a strong network across project owners, developers, OEMs, utilities, and commercial and industrial customers, and a demonstrated ability to find and capture growth opportunities in an evolving market.

What you will do:

  • Protect and grow existing EV services revenue through strategic customer relationships and account expansion.
  • Identify and pursue new customers, service offerings, partnerships, and adjacent revenue streams.
  • Develop and evolve the EV commercial strategy based on market dynamics, customer trends, and competitive activity.
  • Personally develop relationships, open doors, shape opportunities, negotiate agreements, and close strategic deals.
  • Provide executive leadership with actionable insight on the EV market, emerging opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Lead a small Business Development team while remaining actively engaged as a player-coach.
  • Develop and manage senior-level relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, and leadership to develop commercially viable and executable solutions.
  • Lead strategic proposals, RFP responses, bids, and complex customer solutions.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, CRM practices, and commercial KPIs.
  • Represent Pearce with customers, OEMs, developers, industry partners, and at key industry events.

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of successful business development or commercial sales experience in EV charging, energy infrastructure, or related power markets.
  • Proven success as both a hunter and farmer, originating new opportunities while retaining and expanding strategic accounts.
  • Deep knowledge of the EV charging ecosystem, with a strong point of view on market direction and emerging revenue opportunities.
  • Proven success selling recurring service, maintenance, or long-term O&M agreements in the EV or energy infrastructure market.
  • Proven dealmaker with experience developing opportunities, navigating complex negotiations, and closing strategic agreements.
  • Established senior-level relationships and credibility across the EV charging and energy infrastructure ecosystem.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate opportunity, profitability, risk, and strategic value.
  • Experience leading a small business development or account team while remaining personally active in the market.
  • Executive-level communication and relationship skills with the ability to collaborate across Operations, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial and comfortable navigating ambiguity, changing markets, and evolving customer needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Ability to travel 25–50% as needed.
