VP- Analytics Engagement Leader 

The Marsh Advisory Team is seeking a talented individual to join our group as an Analytics Engagement Leader. This is a hybrid role based in New York, Boston, or Philadelphia with occasional travel (not regular). This is a fast-paced position that requires strong client-facing skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. 

You will work closely with our actuarial team and client brokerage team to help clients identify the best optimized structure for their insurance program. A significant portion of your time will be spent demonstrating our suite of analytics platforms and explaining insights derived from them. You will navigate virtual meetings to conduct live product demonstrations for clients via Zoom, showcasing our analytics solutions.

What You'll Do 

  • Manage a strategic book of client accounts of varying sizes and complexity, co-defined with geographic zone leaders and targeted at growth and penetration; uphold client engagement goals and targets. 

  • Thoroughly address all RFPs, develop client engagement presentations and formal proposals for related accounts in collaboration with distribution and risk practice colleagues. 

  • Oversee the client engagement process for clients, working to ensure colleague and client satisfaction along all phases of the process while negotiating outcomes that create value for the client and the business. 

  • Leverage your proven leadership and interpersonal skills to translate complex technical risk issues into actionable insights for business leaders, fostering collaboration among stakeholders. 

  • Utilize strong quantitative and analytical abilities to drive business development and provide customized solutions that empower clients to align their risk strategies with corporate priorities. 

  • Evaluate the book of business within the analytics team, leveraging internal contacts, product developments and market developments to identify areas of opportunity and expansion. 

  • Leverage advanced awareness and understanding of client needs and internal service offerings to facilitate relationships, expand client engagement and maximize value. 

  • Serve as a recognized figure and resource within the analytics team with proven credibility, acting as chief point of contact for key stakeholders. 

  • Organize, attend, speak and present at relevant industry conferences, serving as a prominent, contributing member of professional organizations to expand your professional network and represent the Company's analytics offerings. 

  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft products in your daily work. 

What You Need to Have 

  • Bachelor's degree with a record of outstanding academic achievement 

  • 5-10 years of experience in an insurance-related field 

  • Experience with analytics ecosystems and derivative insights 

  • Experience working with for an Insurance Broker, Carrier, TPA (Third Party Administrator), Risk Manager, or in a Risk Analyst role 

  • Commercial property and casualty insurance experience 

  • Financial and analytical acumen 

  • Demonstrated experience working with strategic/C-suite leaders preferred 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft products 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment

Experience and comfort using analytical methods to create project analysis and recommendation support 

  • Experience with dynamic analytics platforms and insights 

  • Actuarial knowledge or experience  

  • Underwriting or brokerage experience 

  • Experience with casualty cyber, property, or D&O (Directors & Officers) insurance lines  

  • Direct client experience and strong insurance industry knowledge 

  • Previous or current experience working for a consulting firm 

  • Comfort with conducting virtual presentations and demonstrations

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $93,300 to $198,600.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
