Lead the Strategy That Protects Quality, Compliance, and Patient Care Across a Growing Healthcare Organization

As one of the Midwest's fastest-growing Home Health and Home Care organizations, we're seeking an experienced Vice President of Quality & Compliance to serve as the enterprise leader responsible for clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and organizational risk across multiple states.

This is far more than a traditional compliance role.

You'll serve as the organization's compliance authority, partnering directly with our CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors while helping shape the systems, processes, and quality infrastructure that support our continued growth.

What You'll DoLead Enterprise Quality & Compliance
  • Serve as the executive leader responsible for enterprise-wide compliance across Home Health and Home Care operations.
  • Partner directly with the CEO and maintain direct communication with the Board of Directors regarding compliance initiatives, risk, and organizational performance.
  • Chair the quarterly Compliance Committee and present enterprise quality and compliance reporting.
  • Establish strategic compliance priorities while remaining actively engaged in operational execution.
Drive Regulatory Excellence
  • Oversee internal clinical compliance audits across multiple agencies and states.
  • Lead corrective action planning and ensure timely resolution of identified opportunities.
  • Manage responses to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer, and regulatory audits, including ADRs, UPIC, and TPE requests.
  • Monitor CMS regulations, accreditation standards, and payer requirements while proactively implementing organizational changes.
Improve Clinical Quality & Outcomes
  • Provide executive oversight for enterprise QAPI initiatives.
  • Monitor key quality metrics including:
    • OASIS accuracy
    • STAR Ratings
    • Value-Based Purchasing
    • PEPPER Reports
    • Potentially Avoidable Events
    • CMS quality indicators
  • Conduct mock surveys and support agencies through state surveys, accreditation visits, and corrective action plans.
  • Partner with operational and clinical leaders to improve patient outcomes and ensure consistent compliance.
Strengthen Operational Infrastructure
  • Oversee:
    • Clinical Quality Assurance
    • OASIS coding operations
    • Policy & Procedure management
    • Medical record requests
    • Payer credentialing
    • State & Federal filings
    • Compliance-related vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance programs scale alongside organizational growth.
Develop Teams & Leaders
  • Lead and mentor a team of clinical and administrative compliance professionals.
  • Partner with Branch leadership to build accountability and strengthen quality performance.
  • Develop enterprise education programs surrounding regulatory updates, OASIS changes, compliance expectations, and survey readiness.
  • Foster a culture centered on continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Reduce organizational risk through consistent compliance oversight.
  • Partner with Operations to improve clinical outcomes and accountability.
  • Leverage data to identify trends, mitigate risk, and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
What We're Looking For

We're searching for a leader who is:

  • Equally comfortable presenting to the Board of Directors and coaching a Branch through a corrective action plan.
  • A strategic thinker who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
  • Calm, decisive, and solutions-oriented during audits and surveys.
  • Highly collaborative with exceptional communication skills.
  • Passionate about building strong teams while driving operational excellence.
  • Able to influence without relying solely on authority.
Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Home Health leadership experience with significant responsibility for Quality Assurance, OASIS, and regulatory compliance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of:
    • CMS Conditions of Participation
    • PDGM
    • Medicare & Medicaid regulations
    • Joint Commission and accreditation standards
    • Home Health Quality & Compliance
  • Experience leading enterprise compliance programs within a multi-site healthcare organization.
  • Demonstrated success managing regulatory surveys, corrective action plans, payer audits, and compliance investigations.
  • Experience with:
    • OASIS
    • Quality Assurance
    • Clinical Auditing
    • EMR systems
    • Compliance reporting tools
    • Healthcare analytics
  • Previous leadership experience within a high-growth and/or private equity-backed healthcare organization is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio.
