How you’ll make an impact:

The Vice President, Program Management is a strategic and operational leader responsible for leading Kymera’s Program Management / Office function from early discovery through development and commercialization. 

  • Ensures all Kymera programs have strong PM support and ownership to achieve optimized program strategies, plans, milestones, and value inflection points.
  • Defines and implements best PM practices, tools, systems, risk assessment, and standards for program execution across research, development and eventually commercialization
  • Ensures company stage-gate governance processes, program strategy and data review meetings are effectively organized and supported, to ensure disciplined decision-making.
  • Supports and drives major company wide scaling and/or improvement initiatives such as stage-gated readiness programs
  • Manage/mentors high-performing Program Managers.
  • As needed, takes on hands-on PM role to support program teams to ensure integrated development plans are aligned, realistic, and strategically sound.
  • Supports enterprise portfolio planning, prioritization, and resource allocation processes.
  • Ensures development of best-in-class performance metrics across the portfolio, bringing in creative and innovative approaches to achieve excellence
  • Contributes to alliance governance and cross-company program coordination when applicable.

Skills and experience you’ll bring:
  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) and 15+ years of experience in biotech/pharma, with significant experience in drug development.
  • 8+ years in program management or cross-functional leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional programs through major development milestones (IND, Phase 1–3, NDA/BLA, etc., as applicable).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, clinical, CMC, and commercial considerations.
  • Alliance management or partnered program experience.
  • Portfolio governance design and implementation experience.

Compensation

  • Kymera offers a competitive compensation package that recognizes both results and capabilities through market-based, performance-driven pay.
  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is $315,000 – $395,000, with eligibility for annual bonus, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Actual salary is based on a holistic evaluation of the specific role/level as well as each candidate’s depth of experience and the capabilities they bring to the position.
