  • Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic member of the leadership team, contributing to organizational planning, culture, and agency-wide initiatives
  • Lead and support the Human Resources team while maintaining involvement in key operational and employee-related matters
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement across the organization
  • Partner with leadership and managers on workforce planning, recruitment, retention, employee engagement, and performance management strategies
  • Oversee employee relations matters, including coaching, investigations, conflict resolution, and complex personnel issues
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and agency policies across all locations
  • Oversee HR operations including policies, employee communications, personnel records, HR reporting, handbook management, and compliance documentation
  • Lead initiatives focused on onboarding, employee development, succession planning, training, and retention
  • Support and enhance employee recognition, communication, and culture-building efforts across the agency
  • Oversee employee benefits programs and retirement plan administration in partnership with brokers and external partners
  • Utilize HR technology and systems to improve efficiency, communication, and employee experience
  • Manage department budgeting and resource planning
  • Provide leadership updates and guidance to executive leadership, committees, and the board as needed
  • Travel regularly to agency offices and program locations to maintain visibility and connection with employees and operations

This is an excellent opportunity for a people-centered HR leader who enjoys balancing big-picture strategy with meaningful operational involvement and wants to make a lasting impact within a mission-driven organization.
