Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Business Development to lead growth initiatives, with a key focus on establishing and managing new payer relationships and expanding the census for all existing and future Forge Health facilities. This senior leadership role will drive business expansion, foster partnerships, and develop innovative strategies to enhance market presence to accelerate revenue and impact.

What you’ll be doing:

Strategic Growth

  • Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies that align with Forge Health’s mission and business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and regulatory changes to inform contracting decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior executive leadership to establish pricing strategies and reimbursement targets.

Market Development and Strategy Execution

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with payers, referral sources, healthcare providers, and community partners to increase patient referrals and market reach.
  • Leverage data utilizing CRM system to manage and analyze referral pipelines, track engagement, and optimize communication strategies.
  • Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities for amendments or renegotiation.
  • Function as the liaison between Forge Health and external partners to ensure all ongoing needs are met and the client experience remains at the center.

Leadership, Development, Performance Management

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration among business development, marketing, clinical, and operations teams to ensure cohesive growth efforts.
  • Oversee market analysis to identify expansion opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging trends in behavioral health/addictions services.
  • Manage and mentor business development teams, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, track, and report performance metrics/targets (KPI’s) related to referrals, outreach, and marketing impact.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings to elevate brand presence and influence.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years in business development within behavioral health or healthcare sectors, with demonstrated success in establishing payer relationships and increasing referrals.
  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience managing teams and healthcare provider network negotiations.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational growth.
  • Experience managing contract compliance and understanding regulatory requirements in healthcare.
