BGIS is looking for a Vice President, Business Development to join the team in Remote, US.

BGIS is a leading provider of integrated real estate management services, including facilities management, project management, energy & sustainability services, strategic workplace consulting, real estate services and capital planning. The Vice President, Business Development oversees the pipeline development, sales strategy development and execution strategy to drive revenue, margin, and operating income for BGIS US. The Vice President, Business Development, working both individually and as part of the broader team, will carry a personal quota, sourcing and managing opportunities to close. The Vice President, Business Development in partnership with the Global Business Development team and Marketing will develop and execute go to market strategies that facilitate pipeline growth sufficient to support BGIS US’ substantial growth objectives. 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Execution

  • Lead sales and revenue growth efforts for BGIS US. 
  • Drive bookings that meet and exceed revenue and margin targets for BGIS US. 
  • Support the Global Chief Commercial Officer on Proforma Development and ensuring actual results meet committed sales targets by Client.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders and key strategic prospects and clients.
  • Participate in professional associations and organizations to facilitate pipeline growth. 
  • Maintain Ownership of US Salesforce Pipeline and regular update and business metric reporting. 
  • In partnership with the Global Business Development team create national sales and marketing plans. 
  • Report potential business risks to business leaders along with potential mitigation strategies with targeted business development activities. 
  • In partnership with marketing integrate lead generation programs into a selling methodology that increases pipeline quality and accuracy.

Market and Business Development

  • In partnership with marketing and the Global Business Development team, create required proposal and collateral material. 
  • Create market segment sales action plans and tactics.
  • Identify enterprise accounts for pursuit and develop targeted, multi-channel action plans to nurture opportunities within the sales pipeline.  

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or other relevant field.
  • 10+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience, including demonstrated new logo acquisition.
  • Five years successfully selling managed services preferably in facilities management, commercial real estate or a related industry. 
  • Complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deal experience: large contracts, 12+ month cycles, C-suite and procurement navigation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to craft messaging appropriate to a variety of internal and external audiences. 
  • Collaborative approach when partnering with internal teams to develop sales action plans. 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify current and future cross-selling opportunities across clients.
  • Portable executive relationships across applicable markets.
  • Prior experience in a named-accounts or strategic-accounts leadership model.
  • Experience in a matrixed or international parent-company environment.
  • Experienced people leader with demonstrated success of attracting, motivating, and retaining high-performance talent. 
  • Relationship building guru within internal organizational, external clients, and greater industry ecosystem. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
