Seeking a Founder with domain expertise in AI-driven reconciliation solutions to create innovative infrastructure for B2B payments and settlements.
The summary above was generated by AI

Entire industries are quietly bleeding time and money to reconciliation chaos.

Freight brokerages burn ~30% of back-office time manually matching shipper invoices, carrier payments, and factoring advances. Construction contractors wait 30+ days to get paid because someone has to reconcile POs, delivery receipts, retainage, and invoices. Insurance agencies lose 40–80 hours a month reconciling commission statements across dozens of carriers.

They all solve it the same way: The 47-tab Excel spreadsheet with nested VLOOKUPs and macros that break every quarter. One person "owns" it. If they leave, the company is paralyzed.

This problem has resisted automation for years because traditional software and RPA couldn’t handle the reality: unstructured inputs, fragmented systems, industry-specific rules, and endless edge cases. That’s changed. Agentic AI can now read messy formats, apply domain logic, manage exceptions, and reconcile across systems without collapsing under real-world complexity.

The expansion is massive: once the reconciliation engine exists, it becomes the payments and settlement layer for industries where money flows across multiple parties with splits, advances, and delays.

We're looking for Founders who understand this shift. Who can see where AI creates entirely new infrastructure, not just better tooling that you bolt on.
Your Partners in Co-Creation:

Forum's AI Studio brings together ambitious people, brilliant ideas, and capital to build the best B2B SaaS businesses in the world, from 0 to 1. In addition to capital and an idea, we provide founders with access to investor networks, fundraising support, and the resources needed to build transformational companies. We've launched 17 companies since 2023, and we're launching 7 more in 2026. We're designed to help Founders move faster, develop better insights, and build companies that have a higher success rate than startups built in any other way.

Forum derisks and accelerates the Founder path by:

  • A $250K USD investment, and an end-to-end fundraising playbook and network to raise your seed and Series A

  • A validation partner with proven playbooks, networks, and the systems to validate, unlock your ICP, ignite your sales pipeline, and beyond

  • The support of our experienced operating team - from business design, product development, growth, recruitment, legal and more

  • Executing a winning GTM strategy to get to $50-100K ARR, and the right MVP to ensure early traction

  • A community full of mentors, peers, and leaders

  • $100K worth of business perks

About you:

  • Besides having domain expertise, you've experienced the messy middle of getting something off the ground, either as a former founder or early-stage operator.

  • The ability to attract, hire, and lead world-class teams

  • A demonstrated passion for technology’s ability to change the world

  • A desire to be a venture-backed founder

  • Canada or US-based, and the ability to collaborate remotely in North American time zones.

Please note, this is not an employment opportunity with Forum Ventures. If you are currently fundraising your pre-seed or Seed round, please pitch our investment team instead here.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
