Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and analytical UX/UI Researcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience and interface research, with a passion for understanding user behaviors and improving product usability.

This role will be based in Needham, MA. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct User Research: Perform qualitative and quantitative research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points through methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Analyze Data: Analyze research data to generate insights and recommendations that inform design decisions and improve user experience.
  • Create User Personas: Develop detailed user personas and journey maps to guide design and development teams.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers to ensure research findings are integrated into the design process.
  • Design and Test Prototypes: Assist in creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes, and conduct usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
  • Present Findings: Present research findings and design recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring that user insights are effectively communicated and understood.
  • Maintain Research Documentation: Document research methodologies, findings, and design iterations to ensure transparency and consistency within the team.
  • Stay Updated with Trends: Keep abreast of the latest UX/UI research trends, tools, and technologies to bring innovative ideas and solutions to the team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI Researcher with a strong portfolio showcasing research projects and outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in research and design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Psychology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the Consumer Goods industry.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
