As an integral member of the Product Platform team, the UI/UX Designer’s (NA) primary purpose is to collaborate with the wider Product team to create the best user experience for our candidates and customers across our portfolio of products. The UI/UX Designer will regularly work with developers, designers, product managers, and product leadership to design sophisticated software that is easy to use and aligns with Criteria’s business objectives and company vision.
Requirements
To be successful in this role the incumbent will demonstrate the following:
· Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
· A portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications
· Experience with design software, prototyping tools, and wireframing tools.
· Up-to-date knowledge of graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
· Experience with creating and maintaining visual design systems with Figma, Zeplin, Abstract, Sketch Libraries, or similar tools.
· Team spirit & strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
· Good time-management practices
· Basic level understanding of front-end technologies (HTML & CSS) and how designs will be implemented by engineers
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
· Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
· Illustrate design concepts using wireframes, user flows, and prototypes
· Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, navigation, and input fields
· Create design mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate the UX and UI of our products
· Create original, branded graphic designs in collaboration with the marketing team (e.g. illustrations, icons)
· Prepare and present work in progress to internal teams and key stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on design
· Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness, accessibility)
· Adhere to company style standards on fonts, colors and imagery used in design
· Create, manage, and regularly contribute to our asset libraries to support reusable, systematic design across our product portfolio.
· Plan and execute user testing on design with internal and external stakeholders
· Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback from user testing sessions and internal stakeholders
· Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to build designs that adhere to technical constraints, business objectives and company vision
