User Acceptance Tester

North- Remote, US in Eastern or Central Time

North Product Management is dedicated to building industry-leading, innovative, user-first products within FinTech. As a User Acceptance Tester, you are a key component in the delivery process of North’s proprietary SaaS product. You are responsible for the execution of test plans and scripts that validate existing and new functionality.
Our team is high profile and highly influential. This is a cross-functional role - you will work closely with your product management team, engineering, customer and tech support in order to ensure that our merchants and their customers have a stable, secure, and seamless payment experience. This product requires testing in iOS, Android, browsers, and third-party hardware and accessories.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Detects software quality issues, reports, and tracks them to resolution.
  • Maintain manual testing worksheets that complement product requirements.
  • Ensure that the definition of the tests provides comprehensive and effective
  • coverage of all reasonable aspects of functionality.
  • Perform testing in all phases of development, including regression and smoke
  • testing.
  • Document any bugs or enhancements discovered while testing.
  • Effectively communicate testing results and status to the product and engineering team.
  • Collaborate with Engineering QA to identify opportunities for improving automated test scripts.
  • Assist in post-implementation, continuous improvement efforts to enhance the product.
  • Perform on-demand testing as requested.
  • Support product management, Engineering QA, and Customer and Tech Support when help is required on projects.
     

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum (3) years of experience with QA and testing methodologies or equivalent relevant payments industry experience.
  • Minimum (3) years of experience with web-based and mobile (iOS, Android)
  • applications.
  • Minimum (3) years of experience analyzing system and application failures and bugs.
  • Understand the principles of test automation.
  • Knowledge of FinTech and/or payments preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple teams.

Salary Range: $60,000- $80,000
