TULIP is the frontline operations platform that helps manufacturers digitize, connect and continuously improve how they run production, with AI at the core of the product. TULIP was founded out of MIT. It is headquartered in Somerville, MA, and has offices in Munich, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Budapest and Singapore, and has customer sites in more than 45 countries.

In January 2026, TULIP closed its $120M Series D at a company valuation of $1.3B, becoming one of Boston’s few new unicorns. We continue to grow at a rapid rate as leading global manufacturers run on TULIP - from Tiffany & Company to Mitsubishi Electric. We partner with NVIDIA, PwC, McKinsey, BCG and more than 160 technology partners worldwide. Tulip has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Global Innovator, a 2024 Deloitte Technology Fast award winner, one of Energage's Top Workplaces USA, and one of Built In Boston's “Best Places to Work” and “Best Midsize Places to Work.”

About You:

  • You are an HR generalist who likes people, details, and building things that do not exist yet - a new people dashboard built with AI, a refreshed benefits package, a better first month for new joiners.
  • You move easily between the detail and the design: you can answer employee and people team questions on the same day as you can dream big about how onboarding should feel for the next 100 employees who join.
  • You are energized by open-ended problems and comfortable owning a project from idea through rollout without a playbook handed to you.
  • You care about how people experience their workplace, and you use feedback and data to make it measurably better.

What skills do I need?

  • 4-7+ years of experience in an HR generalist, People Operations, or similar role
  • Experience with US immigration, US benefits, and typical people operations processes (e.g., employee analytics and reporting, employee experience programs, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS management)
  • Strong project management skills - you can scope, sequence, and land a program across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using AI to improve efficiency and human-centricity of People operations.
  • Nice to have: experience supporting a fast-growing technology company

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generalist responsibilities: Serve as a true generalist, ready to support all areas within US People Operations, providing flexible support across various functions as needed. Act as the first point of contact for People Operations-related matters (for employees, managers, and other teams).
  • Company Program Support: Assist with key company programs such as Performance and Compensation Cycles, Open Enrollment, Equity Grants, and Engagement Surveys. Actively support planning, communication, and execution to drive high engagement.
  • Benefits Administration and Open Enrollment: Manage benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee inquiries, and ongoing updates throughout the year. Liaise with benefits providers to ensure smooth plan administration and help educate employees on benefits options and changes.
  • Employee Lifecycle: Manage and facilitate compliant People Operations processes, such as onboarding, offboarding, internal mobility/transfers, and employee documentation (e.g., for audits), ensuring all are handled promptly, professionally, consistently.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and improve People Operations processes, systems, and standards to ensure efficient, consistent, and user-friendly operations using AI.
  • Mobility and Immigration: Oversee the company’s US mobility and immigration policy, liaising with employees, leadership, and outside counsel as needed to ensure compliance and a smooth relocation process.
  • Employee Engagement: Support People Operations-led engagement initiatives and special projects, working to foster a positive, supportive, and engaging workplace culture.

Key Collaborators:

  • People Team (e.g., Global People Operations, HRBPs, Recruiting), G&A Teams (e.g., IT, Finance, Legal)
  • All employees and people managers

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
