Job Title: US HR Country Head
 

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to lead, deliver, and integrate the full US people agenda across all businesses and support functions in the US.  The role provides strategic, operational, and governance leadership across HR Operations, Immigration & Right to Work, People Policy, and Inclusion. It partners closely with US business leaders, US HRBLs, People Services, and Centers of Excellence to develop talent, leadership, capability, and a high‑performing, inclusive culture. The role safeguards our license‑to‑operate and promotes a One company/One HR enterprise mindset. The role is important to drive simplification and efficient ways of working for US leaders and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation, business growth and performance in the US through integrated talent, leadership, capability, and culture strategies that support enterprise and US priorities.

  • Drive change initiatives and transformation by engaging broader team members with inspiring future vision.

  • Provide strategic HR partnership to US senior leaders, aligning the US people strategy with global HR and business needs.

  • Oversee US HR Operations including People Policy governance, severance/redundancy frameworks, and disaster relief programs.

  • Oversee governance for Immigration and Right‑to‑Work (I‑9), including policy development, vendor management, and compliance frameworks.

  • Manage Inclusion and ERGs as a business‑anchored strategy that accelerates growth, culture, and performance across the US workforce.

  • Role-modeling our Inclusion strategy of Fairness, Belonging, and Opportunity.

  • Ensure strong risk assurance and operational excellence across a complex and highly regulated employment environment.

  • Collaborate with COEs (Talent, Reward, Recruiting, ER, People Services) to deliver One company/One HR priorities and enterprise alignment.

  • Champion an inclusive, high‑performance culture that supports engagement, belonging, and productivity across the US enterprise.

  • Represent HR at the US Country Executive Board and on other key governance groups such as the Benefits Committee.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 10+ years of experience in Human Resources.

  • Experience applying HR consulting methods and business‑related frameworks.

  • Experience leading teams using multiple leadership approaches and managing teams across different locations or functions.

  • Experience working within cross-functional teams and in a matrix environment.

  • Experience making decisions in situations involving significant business implications.

  • Experience leading organization‑wide or multi‑site transformation in regulated markets.

  • Experience driving alignment without authority across a highly matrixed US environment.

  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations, policy updates, and change communications to leadership teams and cross‑site groups.

  • Experience in managing simultaneous projects or initiatives while maintaining focus on business impact.

  • HR functional expertise across operations, policy, compliance, and risk management.

  • Previous senior level HR leadership experience in organization‑wide operations.

  • Experience in digital fluency and AI based HR platforms, with expectation this will build over time, with comfort engaging in conversations on HR automation and AI‑enabled tools. 

  • Experience implementing or supporting adoption of new technologies used in people‑related decision‑making.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.

  • Experience with immigration, RTW/I‑9 governance, or labor compliance preferred.

  • Experience leading large-scale change program and transformation is preferred.

Work Arrangements: This role offers a hybrid working model, with a mix of on-site and remote work.

• If you are based in Cambridge, MA; Waltham, MA; Rockville, MD; or San Francisco, CA, the annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges $177,375 to $295,625. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
