Job Description SummaryThe primary responsibility of this position will be to promote and sell ultrasound equipment for use in imaging procedures within the medical industry.   This person must also have extensive knowledge of all SVG ultrasound products as well as competitive products.

Job Description Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed established sales quotas by providing quality presentations on SVG ultrasound equipment to customers.   Develop new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships through regular customer contact.

  • Attend conferences and trade shows to increase awareness of SVG products among physicians and hospital administrators who purchase diagnostic equipment.   Maintain a detailed record of customer accounts (incl. demographics, purchasing habits, etc.) to aid in planning future sales calls.

  • Keep abreast of changes in the marketplace by monitoring competition, new products, selling techniques, and Federal and State regulations pertaining to health care facilities and their equipment needs.

  • Provide feedback to the Marketing Department regarding trends and changes discovered during sales activities.

  • Coordinate the scheduling of clinical demonstrations at various locations throughout territory.   Arrange for transportation of equipment and coordinate the logistics of product evaluations.

  • Assist the Marketing Department by pre-screening potential dealerships prior to appointment of new distributorships.

  • Process paperwork including expense reports, time sheets, and sales activity reports.   Maintain high ethical standards in all aspects of employment.

  • Participate in special projects such as major promotions, new product introductions, and new marketing strategies.

  • Effectively utilize computer software programs to prepare documents, maintain records, and develop presentations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of three years of successful sales experience required preferably in a medical device or electronic sales environment.

  • Clean driving record

  • Knowledgeable of ultrasound technology and its applications in medical settings essential.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with customers and other healthcare professionals.

  • Strong organizational skills needed to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent judgment and decision making.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.

  • Self-motivated to work independently with little direct supervision.

  • Possession of reliable transportation to travel to off-site locations.

  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
