The FoodChain ID vision encompasses nothing less than assuring the safety, transparency, and integrity of the global food chain, one client and product at a time.Position SummaryThe Testing Sales Specialist grows FoodChain ID's laboratory testing business by managing assigned accounts, responding to inbound opportunities, and developing new testing programs. This customer-facing role helps Food and Beverage companies identify the right testing solutions, navigate the sales process, and establish successful sample-submission and service programs.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow assigned testing accounts through account management, renewals, and service-line expansion.
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads and execute a consistent follow-up cadence to qualify and advance opportunities.
  • Identify customer testing needs and business drivers, then position FoodChain ID testing solutions that address those requirements.
  • Build relationships with quality, food safety, procurement, operations, and other key stakeholders within assigned accounts.
  • Develop and execute account and territory plans that create new testing opportunities and revenue growth.
  • Lead sales opportunities from discovery through pricing, proposal development, negotiation, and close, in alignment with FoodChain ID pricing and turnaround-time standards.
  • Partner with laboratory teams, technical experts, product, and marketing to confirm solution feasibility and ensure customer needs are addressed.
  • Support customers in establishing new sample-submission processes and testing programs.
  • Maintain accurate customer activity, opportunity, and forecast information in Salesforce.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, food science, a related scientific discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Customer service or other laboratory experience, preferably in food and beverage testing, laboratory services, food safety, quality, or another technical-services environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing consultative B2B sales opportunities and closing complex deals.
  • Working knowledge of sales processes, including lead qualification, account development, pricing, and closing.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
