Job Description:

This position offers an exciting opportunity to support the preparation and daily operations of Berklee’s Aspire: Five-Week Music Performance Intensive through assisting with the operation of the Aspire: Five-Week Satellite Office. In addition to handling essential administrative tasks that help the program to run smoothly - such as preparing charts and distributing schedules - you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with Berklee faculty and prospective students in a variety of on-campus settings.

Pay Rate: $24/hr at 30 hours a week

Schedule: 9a - 5p Monday through Friday, with a paid hour for lunch from 1p - 2p

  • You must be fully available for the following dates: Sunday July 5th, Monday July 6th, Tuesday July 7th

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with both Mac and PC platforms

  • Experience with music notation software (e.g., Finale)

  • Strong customer service background and excellent communication skills

  • Solid clerical and administrative skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Experience with CD duplication and basic audio editing technology (preferred)

  • Competency as a rhythm section instrumentalist (helpful)
     

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to questions from program participants, parents, Five-Week faculty, and related staff via email, phone, and in person

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Five-Week Satellite Office

  • Prepare, copy, and organize written music for Aspire faculty

  • Prepare and duplicate CDs for program use

  • Provide instrumental support in program-related ensemble classes as needed (if applicable)
