Job DescriptionOxfam America’s business application ecosystem includes an expanding suite of systems such as ERP, HRIS, CRM, data platforms, reporting tools, and collaboration software. The Technical Systems Analyst plays a key role in the administration, integration, and technical support of these systems and partners with the Business Applications Manager to design and implement technology-enabled business optimizations.
This role supports day-to-day operations, manages system integrations, and delivers reporting and automation solutions. A strong understanding of finance and human resources processes is essential for aligning systems with organizational needs to enhance data flow, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Systems Administration and Support
- Serve as the primary technical contact for business applications including ERP, HRIS, and reporting tools.
- Administer, configure and develop ERP systems and other business-critical applications.
- Collaborate with business users to manage system configurations, troubleshoot issues, and support system upgrades and testing.
- Track and manage technical requests through platforms like Jira, Asana or ServiceNow.
- Contribute to system enhancement planning, testing, documentation, and training.
Reporting, Dashboards, and Data Management
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and SQL-based reports to meet organizational needs.
- Build and maintain pipelines to ingest, clean, and distribute data across applications and platforms for real-time reporting.
- Fulfill regular and ad hoc reporting requests across departments such as Finance, HR, and IT.
- Work with data formats including JSON, XML, and CSV to support system imports/exports.
- Support self-service data and reporting initiatives through intuitive, and reusable tools.
System Integration and Automation
- Design and manage integrations between business systems using APIs, webhooks, and middleware platforms.
- Automate data exchange across platforms using technologies like Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools.
- Develop scripts or lightweight applications using Python, JavaScript, or C# or another modern language to support integrations and build custom automations or data processing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance policies.
- Contribute to our cloud-first strategy using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Power Apps for business process automation.
Technology Driven Business Optimization
- Map current workflows and identify automation and integration opportunities to streamline business process
- Design practical and cost-effective solutions leveraging existing technology platforms and tools
- Monitor emerging technology trends and vendor feature releases to evaluate, apply and recommend enhancements that align with organizational needs.
- Translate functional requirements work with Business Applications Manager in designing and developing implementation plans.

- Drive Innovation and Technical Solutions: Bring creativity and technical insight to solve challenges through automation, integration, and optimization. Champion the use of modern platforms to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Certifications in Computer Science or related field, Associates Degree, some studies in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.
- 3 - 5 years experience in technical systems analysis, building system integrations, IT systems administration, or application support for any ERP system (e.g., Unit4, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, SAP) or similar enterprise business applications.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, data manipulation, and database reporting
- Proven experience building visualizations with Power BI or similar tools and writing DAX expressions.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data formats like JSON and XML.
- Scripting proficiency in Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar languages.
- Exposure to middleware platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Zapier, or similar).
- Experience using ticketing and project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or ServiceNow.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly across diverse, technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and contribute to ongoing learning, process improvement, and optimization.
- Ability to apply a systems-thinking approach on how different systems connect and interact to support organizational goals and drive operational efficiency.
PREFERRRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with nonprofit business processes or global development organizations
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps principles
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystems, Power Platform and Azure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, and Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Data Factory).
- Microsoft or Azure certifications a plus
Salary Range - $75,000 - 85,000
