We’re looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to take ownership of our Learning Management System (LMS) product line—with a forward-thinking focus on integrating AI-powered capabilities to deliver smarter, more personalized learning experiences.

In this highly strategic and cross-functional role, you’ll be the voice of the customer and the owner of the roadmap, ensuring our platform continues to evolve in alignment with user needs, market trends, and business goals. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams, translating big ideas into real features that delight users and drive business growth.

What You'll Do:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the LMS product roadmap, aligning it with strategic company initiatives and customer feedback.
  • Serve as the Product Owner in Agile development processes—prioritizing backlogs, leading sprint planning, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Explore and define AI-driven product enhancements (e.g., automated recommendations, intelligent feedback, usage pattern analytics) that improve learning outcomes and efficiency.
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify trends, emerging technologies, and unmet needs in the LMS and EdTech space.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to gather requirements, validate ideas, and translate them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure a seamless experience across mobile, web, and integrated platforms, working with UX and engineering to maintain a high-quality user experience.
  • Support sales enablement, go-to-market readiness, and internal product training efforts.
  • Serve as the technical liaison during client consultations, helping explain platform capabilities and how AI features align with client objectives.

Key Competencies:

  • Product Ownership – Drives product strategy and execution across the development lifecycle.
  • AI & Technical Fluency – Applies advanced technologies and concepts to solve customer problems.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset – Prioritizes user needs and optimizes the end-to-end experience.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making – Uses data and metrics to inform and validate product direction.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership – Builds alignment across diverse teams and departments.
  • Strategic Thinking – Balances short-term needs with long-term product innovation.
  • Execution Excellence – Delivers high-quality results efficiently and on schedule.
  • Innovation – Constantly explores new tools, technologies, and approaches to stay ahead.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (Master’s a plus).
  • 3–5 years of experience in SaaS product management, ideally within the LMS or EdTech sector.
  • Hands-on experience developing or integrating AI or machine learning-based features (e.g., recommendation engines, content tagging, personalization).
  • Proficiency with Agile frameworks, backlog management (Azure DevOps preferred), and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong understanding of LMS architecture, standards (SCORM, AICC, xAPI), and technical integrations.
  • Exceptional analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools to analyze product usage and drive decision-making.
  • Experience with mobile app product management a plus.
Benefits

At HSI, we believe in empowering people and organizations to work safer, smarter, and more confidently every day. We invest in our team’s success and well-being through a full suite of benefits and flexible work options.

Your Benefits Include:

  • Comprehensive health coverage – Medical, dental, vision, and more.
  • Supportive life programs – Including generous Parental Leave, Tuition Reimbursement, and Volunteer Time Off.
  • Robust Learning & Development – Unlimited access to our HSI LMS and a full library of professional growth content.
  • Remote-first environment – Work where you thrive best.
  • Generous vacation time – Take the time you need to recharge.
  • Retirement benefits – A 1:1 company match on your contributions to plan your future with confidence.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
