As a Technical Course Designer/Developer Professional here at Honeywell, you will lead the development and implementation of customer experience training programs. This person will plan, design and develop technical product training programs for Value Added Resellers and System Users. You will play a key role in shaping training strategies that align with business goals and foster a culture of continuous learning.

You will report directly to our Training Manager, and you’ll work out of our Pittsford, NY location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, the technical trainer/content developer is a key success factor in our product certification training programs that provide learning opportunities for our customers in their moments of need.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of customer experience training programs.
  • Conduct learning needs analyses with stakeholders to identify performance gaps and training solutions.
  • Create prototypes, storyboards, scripts, course content, simulations, scenarios, assessments, etc. for learning solutions.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to develop engaging learning content and instructional materials.
  • Design eLearning, instructor-led training, simulations, assessments, and other learning solutions using industry-standard authoring tools.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create effective, scalable training.
  • Collaborate with LMS administrators to deploy and maintain training content.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using learner feedback, performance metrics, and customer satisfaction data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support product launches and organizational initiatives by developing customer-facing and employee training.
  • Mentor training professionals and promote best practices in learning design and delivery.
Qualifications

Must Have

  • Associates or Bachelor's  degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technical Training, or 5 or more years of related field experience. 
  • 3 or more years of experience with instructional design, adult learning principles, and eLearning development. 
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools  and Microsoft Office. 
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and technical troubleshooting. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Fluent in English with strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills.

  • Graduate degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field. 
  • Proficiency with Articulate, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia. 
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online learning platforms. 
  • Experience training on electronic access control, video management, or security systems. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server environments and enterprise software applications. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. 
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and translate complex concepts into engaging training. 
  • Multilingual capabilities. 
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

The annual base salary range for this position is $67,800 - $84,900. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills as well as market and business considerations.
