We're seeking a Talent Acquisition Consultant with experience recruiting for actuarial, Quantitative, and Risk talent for mid-career and management roles. You'll bring deep expertise in full-cycle recruitment, from intake and sourcing to offer negotiation, with a strong focus on building high-performing talent pipelines. You'll partner closely with business leaders to understand workforce needs, shape hiring strategies, and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience.
The Team
Our Talent Acquisition team is a dynamic group of collaborative problem solvers committed to delivering exceptional experiences for candidates and hiring managers. We embrace innovation, leverage modern recruiting tools, and foster a culture of inclusion, agility, and continuous learning. The Corporate Functions Talent Acquisition team supports hiring across business units such as Corporate Finance, Investment Management, Enterprise Risk, HR/Communications, Law, and our Credit Union.
The Impact
In this role, you will leverage advanced sourcing techniques to engage passive talent, utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, and serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers. Your ability to navigate complex hiring scenarios, influence stakeholders, and align recruiting outcomes with business goals will be key to your success. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, mentor junior recruiters, and help elevate the overall talent acquisition function.
This role is hands-on and proactive-leveraging data-driven sourcing strategies and delivering a high-touch candidate experience. This role is hands-on and proactive-leveraging data-driven sourcing strategies and delivering a high-touch candidate experience. You'll be expected to go beyond traditional recruiting methods and actively engage passive talent in competitive markets. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Serve as a strategic recruiting advisor to the leaders in actuary, quantitative and risk, among other business units, delivering consultative guidance on hiring needs, market trends, and sourcing strategies.
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle: intake, job posting optimization, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer negotiation.
- Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for recurring and high-volume roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and ensure job descriptions reflect current market language and expectations.
- Facilitate client engagement meetings to align on recruitment strategy, timelines, and candidate profiles.
- Represent MassMutual at recruiting events and career fairs as needed.
- Collaborate with Compensation and HR partners to ensure alignment on job leveling, salary ranges, and offer strategy.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and share best practices across the TA team.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition
- 6+ years of full cycle recruiting experience
- 6+ years of experience sourcing passive candidates to deliver niche skill sets and a diverse talent pool
- 3+ years of experience in actuarial recruiting
Ideal Qualifications
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred) and CRM tools
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with employment law and compliance in a regulated environment.
