The SVP, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a key member of the finance executive leadership team responsible for driving the company's financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management. This role partners closely with the CFO, CEO, and other business leaders to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and ensure strong financial governance. The SVP, FP&A will lead and build a high-performing team and implementing best-in-class financial planning processes to support the company's growth and profitability.
Qualified candidates must be able to be on site in Needham three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to develop and refine financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide actionable insights through robust analysis of financial results, business trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Drive operational efficiency and profitability by partnering with business units on cost management, margin improvement, and capital allocation.
  • Oversee management reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Investor Relations and Corporate Development on external communication, M&A evaluations, and market analysis.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement systems, tools, and processes to improve forecasting accuracy and financial visibility across the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and leadership team, influencing key business decisions with financial discipline.

Ideal Experience
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading FP&A in a complex, global organization (public company experience preferred).
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience partnering with C-Suite executives and influencing business strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of financial planning processes, corporate reporting, and performance management.
  • Expertise in implementing FP&A systems, tools, and processes.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with ability to inspire, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
