This position is part of the Global Supply Chain Resiliency Team at Aptiv, tasked with building industry leading Supply Chain Resiliency capabilities to reduce the likelihood of supply disruptions and secure our global supply chain. The role of a Program Manager oversees the build out of new capabilities and programs across all of Aptiv’s businesses and ensures completeness of our Supply Chain Risk and Resiliency capabilities – supporting the global Supply Chain and Customer.

Lead proactive risk analysis of the supply chain, using digital tools to identify high risk suppliers, commodities, PN or nodes within the supply networkWorking closely with other functional areas including IT, develop digital models of the end-to-end supply chain to proactively identify vulnerabilitiesEvaluate product flow paths and revenue impact of disruptions and products that are single-sourced or have a high concentration or reliance single nodes or limited partners.Work with multiple functions and areas of the business to implement mitigation plans that address identified risk and optimize the ability to maintain production and supply when unplanned events occur.Lead cross functional workshops and drive execution of actions to address supply chain riskImplement and lead a program that drives supply chain risk assessment and resiliency into new program launches so that changes can be implement early in the development cycleDevelop proactive mitigation plans, including actions to be taken before during and after supply chain disruptionsProvide management reporting on supply chain resiliencyWork closely with supply chain leaders across the business to ensure supply chain resiliency is embedded into category strategies. 

Your Background

The successful candidate will be a broad-based proactive front-runner who possesses a strong combination of technical, commercial and process-focused skills. S/he will demonstrate key functional competencies: strong data management skillset, methodical & structure orientated approach to problem solving and task resolution, ability to operate in cross-functional matrix supply chain org, with fast execution and planning. Strong motivation, sense of urgency/proactivity, high-level of energy and problem-solving skills as well as ability to focus on external and internal customer satisfaction are unwavering requirements for this role. 

Overall, you will be responsible for strengthening Aptiv’s Supply Chain Resiliency program capabilities and driving impact across the business. You will be responsible for expanding the footprint of internal Resiliency capabilities, continuous improvement of existing tools and processes, and ensuring the flawless delivery of the functional objectives within Supply Chain Visibility and Disruption mitigation.

You need to have an ability to cooperate and be able to mediate and align with different stakeholders, cultures and attitudes. Strong motivation, sense of urgency/proactivity, high-level of energy and problem-solving skills as well as ability to execute congruently across multiple workstream and balance competing priorities.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering or other relevant field
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, IT or finance
  • Experience leading supply chain projects in large, complex businesses
  • Able to successfully lead and influence others in a matrix-aligned, remotely-led, multi-country organisation
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload, multiple and changing priorities and constant deadline demands
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong desire to challenge status quo and bring improvements to existing processes
  • Excellent English
  • Lean/Six Sigma/Value Stream Mapping or Problem Solving experience a plus, with a passion for process development & continuous improvement
  • Good stakeholder management/relationship skills
