The Supply Chain Manager will lead the strategic and tactical management of Materion’s complex global supply chain, with a critical focus on procurement of specialty and complex materials, including Germanium, following recent global supply disruptions. This role will drive the development and execution of procurement strategies, implement best practices and standardized operating procedures (SOPs), and collaborate closely with Quality and Operations teams to enhance supplier performance through scorecards and continuous improvement initiatives. The Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in managing supplier relationships, mitigating supply risks, and ensuring material availability to support the company’s precision optics manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required in relevant field with ERP and factory systems experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment with complex / prototype environment experience or support of lab operations with varied requirements.
  • Experience in a low volume / high mix product environment is an asset.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in leadership (direct people supervision preferred)
  • Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Visual or Infor ERP systems.
  • Track record of successful project management experience, leading multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills, along with an ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; focus on driving disciplined, fact-based decisions and executing with discipline and urgency
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and labor law
  • Understanding of optics and experience in a globally matrixed environment

Salary range: $108,900-141,400*
*The salary range listed is a guide for this position and may vary depending on experience, education, geographic location, and other qualifications. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's individual merits and the company's compensation policies.


 

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
