Develops, documents, and improves manufacturing processes for metal product lines; implements OPCs, routes and BOMs; investigates nonconformances and customer complaints; applies statistics to improve yields and costs; supports customers and production troubleshooting; identifies bottlenecks and recommends equipment or method changes; provides process training and collaborates with quality, sales, and engineering.

Lead all Newton-site manufacturing operations, driving operational excellence, Lean transformation, capital projects, and cross-functional integration. Oversee production, maintenance, planning, EHS, quality, and site strategy while developing leaders, improving processes, and ensuring capacity, cost, quality, and delivery meet business needs.

Perform sample preparation and analytical testing (ICP-OES, GDMS, SEM/EDX, metallography, tensile/hardness tests, LECO IGA, tap density), record/manage data in LIMS, maintain equipment and lab safety, support ISO 17025 quality system, and assist with process and safety improvement projects.

Provide lab support across analytical and quality functions: prioritize and prepare samples, enter and report data, use SAP/QMS/Excel for certifications and inventory, manage equipment calibration, assist shipments, generate non-conformance reports, and support training and safety checks to maintain uninterrupted lab operations.

Maintain and support server infrastructure and cloud environments (Office 365/Azure). Administer Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, IIS, VMware, MECM/Intune, and application licensing. Provide 24x7 on-call troubleshooting, hardware/software installs, PC imaging, documentation, and process improvements to ensure performance and security.

Oversee customer-related quality assurance for refractory and alloy metals used in semiconductor and aerospace applications. Act as primary customer quality contact, support audits, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, maintain quality documentation/eQMS, train staff, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive continual improvement to meet AS9100D/ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Manage accounting for the Newton plant including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, forecasts and budgets, inventory cycle counts, cost analysis, support audits and SOX compliance, and partner on SAP and Power BI projects to drive cost reductions and process improvements.

Support engineering and production by creating and maintaining BOMs and routings in SAP, managing engineering documents (work instructions, control plans, FMEAs), coordinating purchase requisitions, and ensuring data accuracy and version control to align documentation with manufacturing processes.

Manage and grow key semiconductor accounts by selling PVD electronic materials. Develop account plans, build pipeline, conduct technical discussions, forecast in CRM, collaborate with internal teams, negotiate contracts, and travel extensively to support customers and drive revenue.

Drive profitable sales growth for Materion Performance Alloys & Composites in the Northeast U.S. and Eastern Canada by prospecting, protecting key accounts, building capture plans, and delivering high-margin contracts in Defense, Space, and Nuclear markets. Maintain CRM and forecasts, coordinate internal stakeholders (quality, production, legal, contracting), support contract negotiations, and resolve receivables while continuously developing technical product knowledge (beryllium alloys, BeO ceramics, MMCs).
