Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst is a supporting team member within a pursuit team that works on new business opportunities. The Senior Analyst will support a pursuit team across project coordination, research, project management and proposal development functions. Key activities include: - Administer pursuit coordination activities to ensure on-time completion of a proposal - Use analytical techniques and concepts to understand the business - Help write and collect materials to complete a proposal - Act in a supporting capacity on a pursuit - Conduct customer research related to the opportunity - Serves as a resource, mentor and trains less experienced analysts Ryder's Supply Chain Senior Analysts are responsible to support the growth of our Supply Chain Solutions & Dedicated Transportation Solution offerings by developing, designing and winning new business through: - Designing solutions that deliver financial value to our Customers - Demonstrating an understanding of our Customer's business - Providing feasible designs that are aligned with our Customer's needs - Helping the pursuit team with shaping wins plans consistent with our solution design - Providing sustainable designs that are aligned with Ryder's operational & technical capabilities - Writing and delivering a compelling proposal that influences the customer decision to select Ryder - Support awarded business throughout the startup process, successfully transitioning design and proposal assumptions to Operations and SCE CI resources through the Customer Due Diligence process.
Essential Functions
Performs complex level analysis and problem solving to assist in the bid submission process. Provides pursuit team with data analysis, benchmarking, and market research. Research, evaluate and deliver a meaningful analysis to the pursuit team specific to the targeted customer, industry or solution. Serve central resource and expert of yearly project plans, strategic initiative research and market analysis support
Develop proposal content, presentation and coordinates RFI responses. Improve solution development methodologies to ensure industry best practices. Incorporate data into technical review presentations and design validation meetings
Support the pursuit team & SD lead with customers and cross-functional bid response team. Schedule conference calls and coordinate meetings
Serves as subject matter resource, mentors and trains less experienced analysts

Skills and Abilities
Superb data organization and cleansing skills
Exhibit advanced skills and concepts using design applications, tools, techniques, and methodologies to analyze and design complex transportation and warehousing networks
Familiarity in simulation tools, transportation & warehouse management systems, ERPs, Automation, MHE, Visibility Tools, and industry leading technologies (preferred)
Ability to influence the project teams by using facts, statistics, and analytics (preferred)
Comprehend complex supply chain and transportation solutions and segment design processes into manageable elements and process steps (preferred)
Good verbal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex designs, concepts, and regulations into terms readily understood
Learning to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
Two (2) years or more in Transportation - 2 years or more related work experience in the Transportation industry(e.g., Truckload, Multi-stop TL, LTL, Intermodal, Bulk, Rail, or Parcel services) required
Two (2) years or more in Warehousing - 2 years or more related work experience in the Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industry (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Operations) required
DOT Regulated - No
Travel - 10-20% (anticipated)

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
