JOB SUMMARY

This role will supervise a cohort of 8-10 graduate students from the Masters of Social Work (MSW) licensure program. Supervision of the interns will include but may not be limited to individual supervision, review of process recordings, evaluations of students, approval of hours, committee meetings, and other responsibilities as assigned. The supervisor will work collaboratively with the secondary supervisors in each intern placement which includes Undergraduate Advising, Athletics, REEF Center, and Multicultural Center. This role will report directly to the Assistant Dean of Academic Advising & Career Development.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise approximately 8-10 graduate students  interns from other Simmons programs such as but not limited to the Masters of Social Work (MSW) licensure program

  • Duties will include but may not be limited to weekly individual supervision sessions with 8-10 graduate interns, review of process recordings, evaluations of interns, approval of intern hours, meetings with secondary supervisors, and other responsibilities as assigned. 

  • Attend required trainings for intern supervisors or University employees 

  • Supervisor will collaborate/commute regularly with the secondary supervisors from each office (Undergraduate Advising, REEF Center, Multicultural Center, Athletics, Center for Leadership & Engagement, etc.) the interns are placed 

  • Use of technology tools such as Starfish, Tevera, Google Suite, Zoom, etc. 

  • This position is eligible to be remote or hybrid 

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Other duties as assigned by Assistant Dean.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSW licensure degree required 

  • Experience supervising 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Understanding of FERPA  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a college/university setting;

  • Experience providing supervision 

  • MSW Licensure

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Full Remote or hybrid eligibility

  • 10 months (fall and spring semesters only with the occasional summer training as needed 

  • 8-13 Hours / week  

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws effective October 29, 2025, Simmons University is committed to pay equity, transparency and clear communication throughout the hiring process. The hourly or annual salary range for this position is:

H07$24.90 - $39.76

This is a non-benefits eligible position.
