The Strategy and Operations Specialist role is part of the Sanofi Integrated Launch Capabilities (SILC) organization, which drives the integration of Sanofi’s launch functions to deliver best-in-class excellence for Sanofi launches. This role will support the execution of SILC strategic initiatives, launch foundations, cross-portfolio analytics, and innovation and AI initiatives. You will work closely with the Lead, Strategy & Operations to drive launch innovation, generate actionable insights, and support continuous improvement across Sanofi's launch framework.

Main Responsibilities:

SILC Foundations: Elevate best-in-class launch standards and framework

  • Lead the evolution and refinement of the SILC framework, ensuring it is best-in-class and adaptable to changing market conditions

  • Coordinate with transversal areas (SILC Clusters, COEs, GTMC, LEBI, etc.) to ensure alignment and integration of launch standards

  • Manage beta testing initiatives, capturing learnings and insights to drive continuous improvement

  • Document and communicate framework updates and best practices to relevant stakeholders

  • Assist in developing training materials and resources to support framework adoption

  • Serve as a liaison with Hub Operations to ensure seamless implementation of launch frameworks

SILC Suite & Gen AI: Drive digital and AI-powered launch excellence

  • Act as business lead for digital initiatives with the SILC Suite – a best-in-class digital launch excellence solution

  • Support the development and pilot implementation of Gen AI use cases within the launch ecosystem

  • Identify opportunities for AI application in launch processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and impact

  • Document and share learnings from AI implementations to inform future developments

  • Collaborate with training and change management teams to drive SILC Suite usage and AI adoption

  • Partner with the Digital Accelerator in the development of the SILC Suite and AI platform, ensuring data quality and system functionality

 

SILC Quants: Build & enhance operations modules to support Sanofi

  • Resourcing: Develop tools and processes to support decisions

  • Metrics: Design and maintain performance dashboards and reporting frameworks to measure outcomes and drive continuous improvement

  • Budget/strat plan and business cases: Create and manage tracking modules to support informed financial decisions. 

  • Governance tracking: Build modules to track performance against governance decisions

Data & Simulation: Drive business launch scenarios and impact-driven decision-making

  • Act as business lead for digital initiative with the Launch Simulator

  • Support disruptive innovation as business lead of the Launch Simulator, ensuring model relevance, fostering simulation culture within Sanofi, and generating business impact

  • Evolve Mission Control functionality, including pre-launch metrics definition, data collection in collaboration with I&A, trend analysis, insights, and Next Best Actions (NBA)

  • Gather and integrate external competitor data to enhance launch planning and competitive positioning

  • Conduct launch impact analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges across the portfolio

  • Prepare data visualisations and reports that translate complex information into actionable insights for the brand & franchise teams.

  • In addition, the Strategy & Ops Sr. Director will lead special projects on behalf of SILC.

Note: The Strategy & Ops Sr. Director role expected to perform all main responsibilities and may take ownership of a specific area of focus.

About you

Experience:

  • Business leadership experience driving pharmaceutical product launches or launch strategy and operations

  • Track record of driving organizational transformation

  • Leadership experience driving business innovation, particularly using digital and AI technologies

  • Track record of translating data into insights and simulations

  • Prior US pharma commercial/launch/market access experience is a plus

  • Previous consultancy experience is a plus

Soft and technical skills:

  • Knowledge of best-in-class launch excellence practices

  • Strong ability to analyse complex processes, identify gaps, and implement scalable solutions

  • Proficient in AI-driven insight generation

  • Adept at storytelling with data, delivering high-impact presentations, and influencing leadership

  • You are a role model of Take The Lead behaviours

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required. MBA/Advanced Degree is desirable.

Languages: Fluent English

Travel:  This position may require up to 25% overall business travel.

The salary range for this position is:

$206,250.00 - $297,916.66
