Our Global Real Estate, Facilities and Procurement (GREFP) team are looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager to oversee indirect procurement activities, primarily across marketing and sales categories for various functions within Global Portfolio division (GPD). In this newly created role, you will also act as a business partner for Marketing and Commercial Excellence (MCE) function.

Our Global Real Estate, Facilities and Procurement (GREFP) team are looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager to oversee indirect procurement activities, primarily across marketing and sales categories for various functions within Global Portfolio division (GPD). In this newly created role, you will also act as a business partner for Marketing and Commercial Excellence (MCE) function.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Strategic Procurement Manager & Business Partner for Marketing & Commercial Excellence (MCE) you will:
- Lead an exciting transformation to bring true value to our internal partners in the business with global reach.
- Lead Indirect procurement category initiatives across Marketing and Commercial Center of Excellence
- Ensure Global Procurement activities at MCE are aligned to region and category team planning. You will develop and implement specific strategies in those categories not supported by Global teams.
- Be responsible for ensuring that high-quality end to end user service delivery is achieved by understanding MCE needs and calling on the appropriate resources within Global Procurement team to support this. This will be a critical on-site liaison to link Category teams, Shared Service support teams, Legal, among others, and MCE leadership to ensure successful implementations

- Lead Category Initiatives - plan and lead category initiatives for various global teams and develop regional strategies.
- Drive Procurement Projects - Support the transformation and elevation of value of Marketing and Commercial strategies
- Provide Regional Insights into global strategies and ensure alignment with regional planning.
- Serve as a Business Partner for MCE - act as the primary liaison for MCE, aligning Global Procurement Strategy, vision and activities with regional and category strategies while ensuring seamless execution.
- Ensure High-Quality Service Delivery - Collaborate with Takeda Business Solutions (TBS), Real Estate Facilities, Security, and MCE teams to address business needs and deliver best-in-class procurement support and supplier management.
- Monitor and Report Performance - Track and analyze GREFP activities ensuring the achievement of key targets, including savings, compliance, and process efficiency.
- Drive Compliance & Continuous Improvement - foster a culture of compliance, efficiency, and strategic cost management, ensuring adherence to Takeda's Global Code of Conduct and Supplier
Code of Conduct while implementing best practices to optimize procurement performance.
Required Education, Behavioural Competencies and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of progressive procurement experience
- At least 5 years of indirect procurement experience preferably of Marketing and Sales categories
- Experience or demonstrated understanding in Category Management principles and frameworks and the development of sourcing strategies
- Good organizational skills and ability to deal with competing priorities
- Effective communication skills in English
- Innovator, willing to initiate changes, introduce new ideas, and creatively problem solve
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Preferred:
- Post-graduate business-related qualification
- Demonstrated ability in collating, organizing, analyzing and reporting complex financial data with solid grounding in basic procurement and financial processes and systems.
- Pharmaceutical Industry
- Any Professional Purchasing (e.g. CIPS) or Finance related licenses or certifications would be considered advantageous
