 Join a strategic, ambitious, and innovative Pricing Team that’s rewriting how legal services are priced, delivered, and experienced. We’re commercially savvy, naturally collaborative, and intrinsically innovative—and we’re looking for an Analyst ready to make waves with us.  

 

This high-impact, fast-paced, high-visibility role partners closely with lawyers, clients, and colleagues across Finance, Client Development, and Legal Project Management. You’ll help shape and deliver pricing strategies that move us beyond the billable hour, improve profitability, and deliver greater value to clients. 

What You Will Do: 

Pricing Strategy & Execution  

  • Support in designing and implementing pricing proposals, especially around alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), fixed fees, retainers, and value-based models.  

  • Contribute to the development of commercial, client-centric pricing strategies that are profitable and sustainable.   

  • Support live pricing requests, RFPs, panel submissions, AFAs for client pitches. Particularly when faced with tight deadlines and evolving priorities. 

 

Innovation and Model Development support 

  • Support in developing new pricing models and frameworks to move away from time-based billing.  

  • Support in creating pricing menus, benchmarking tools, and cost models aligned to service offerings.  

  • Maintain pricing trackers, fee estimate logs, and knowledge management tools to enhance team efficiency. 

 

Data & Insight  

  • Analyze historic matter data and performance metrics to inform pricing decisions.  

  • Translate data into actionable insights and compelling client narratives.  

  • Contribute to firmwide pricing and client value initiatives by applying data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, transparency, and client value. 

  • Support in developing playbooks, toolkits, and self-serve resources for pricing enablement.  

  • Support in developing mechanisms to measure adoption of recommended pricing approaches. 

  • Monitor budget-to-actual performance, analyze variances, and prepare concise financial reporting for attorneys. 

  • Collect, construct and analyze matter and timekeeper data to produce reports on hours, rates, and profitability. 

 

Collaboration & Relationship Building  

  • Support in developing and coordinating training/education to attorneys and clients on Goodwin’s pricing approach 

  • Support the preparation of internal and client-facing materials with a focus on accuracy and clarity. 

  • Ensure deliverables are consistent, accurate and aligned with client expectations under tight deadlines. 

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field. 

  • 2  4 years years of experience in pricing, commercial strategy, or finance in a law firm or professional services environment.  

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills (both written and verbal) with ability to clearly communicate ideas and results on all organization levels.  

  • Strong analytical and business problem-solving skills with a flair for breaking down processes into logical parts and constructing crystal-clear reasoning, analyses, and insights. 

  • A strategic thinker who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves.  

  • A desire to challenge the status quo—creatively, commercially, and collaboratively. 

  • Drive, ambition, and initiative to help grow Goodwin's business. 

  • Self-starter, highly organized and detail-oriented go-getter able to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Advanced experience in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, dynamic financial modeling, scenario analyses) 

  • Attention to detail, particularly under tight deadlines 

 

Bonus Points If You Have  

  • Professional working experience in Business Strategy or Management Consulting firm. 

  • Familiarity with legal service delivery models including ALSPs, LPM, and tech-enabled solutions.  

  • Familiarity with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or automation platforms. 

  • A sense of humor and a love of doing things differently.

The Target Salary Range For This Position Varies By Location And Is Commensurate With Relevant Experience: $75,000.00- $100,000.00
