The Strategic Operations Program Manager leads the end-to-end execution of strategic account programs across equipment assets lifecycle, including inspection, transportation, refurbishment, redeployment, and resale channels for North America. This role serves as the operational program owner, partnering across Sales, Operations, Logistics, Vendors and Analytics to translate customer and contractual requirements into scalable execution plans. The Program Manager ensures consistent delivery, optimizes asset flow and recovery outcomes, and drives performance through data-driven insights and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Primary Accountabilities

  1. Program Execution & Asset Lifecycle Management
  • Own the operational execution of assigned Strategic Account programs from intake through completion across the service lifecycle.
  • Translate contractual and strategic account requirements into clear operational workflows, task sequencing, and service milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across inspection, yard operations, logistics, refurbishment and resale. 
  • Identify and proactively mitigate risks impacting asset flow, service delivery or financial outcomes
  • Monitor asset progression to ensure cycle time, service quality, and recovery value targets are met.
  • Serve as the primary operational partner for assigned Strategic Accounts across Finance, Construction, OEM, Rental, Insurance, and Manufacturer Consignment segments.
  • Act as the primary operational liaison between Sales, Site Operations, Inspection Operations, Enablement teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure alignment between customer commitments and operational execution across multiple sites and service providers.
  • Support the rollout of customized service offerings such as a dedicated asset program, redeployment strategies, or non-auction solutions.
  • Partner with account and operations stakeholders to resolve escalations impacting service quality, timelines, or customer satisfaction. 

    2. Program Governance, Coordination & Communication

  • Maintain and manage program governance artifacts including workstream trackers, action registers, service requirement documentation, and status logs.
  • Support the development and delivery of program updates, executive summaries, and Monthly Business Review (MBR) materials.
  • Facilitate regular status updates and business reviews with internal stakeholders and customers. 
  • Document and support standardization of processes across sites to improve consistency and scalability. 
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication of priorities, risks, and performance across distributed teams and locations. 

    3. Reporting Analytics & Asset Performance 

  • Compile, validate, and maintain operational data across internal systems (e.g., MARS, Oracle, Mercury, Sales Contract Reports, + more) to support program monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain recurring reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Track and report on KPIs such as asset cycle time, time-to-sale, recovery value, service turnaround, and vendor performance. 
  • Identify and analyze trends across categories, geographies, and service lines.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend actions to improve throughput and financial outcomes.
  • Provide insights and reporting to support customer reviews and internal decision-making. 

    4. Continuous Improvement & Operational Optimization

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recurring execution issues across strategic programs.
  • Partner with operations and enablement teams to implement scalable improvements.
  • Contribute to the evolution of strategic programs and service offerings.
  • Support change management across field operations, vendors, and internal teams.
Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:

Education Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience · 3+ years of experience in program management, operations, or asset lifecycle environments
  • Experience in multi-site operations, heavy equipment, logistics or industrial services preferred.

Technical/Professional Accreditation:

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Experience with Power BI or comparable BI tools
  • Familiarity with ERP, asset management, logistics or inventory systems such as MARS, Enrich, Oracle, Mercury, PO/Cost preferred

Required Experience (Type/Amount):

  • Strong program and/or operational management skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate across distributed teams (yards, vendors, logistics)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong communication skills across sites, corporate and customer audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage high-volume, fast-moving operational workflows

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This role operates in a hybrid environment, including both office and field settings such as equipment yards, inspection sites, and customer or vendor locations
  • Travel may be required (approximately 10–25%) depending on program needs, site locations, and customer engagements
  • Regular interaction with active operational environments, including equipment yards with moving machinery, varying terrain, and outdoor conditions
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely navigate outdoor industrial environments, including walking on uneven or unpaved surfaces (e.g., gravel, dirt, mud)
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site visits or operational reviews
  • May occasionally need to climb steps or ladders to access equipment for inspection or review purposes
  • Capability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain) when on-site
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety boots, high-visibility vests, hard hats, and safety glasses
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds, if necessary for site assessments or operational support
