Department Overview
The North America Video & Professional Services organization provides deployment and post-deployment services for Motorola Solutions' mobile and fixed video customers, as well as APX Next Smart Applications and WAVE PTX.
Job Description

As a Strategic Initiatives Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the execution of critical cross-functional initiatives impacting our Mobile Video, Fixed Video, and APX mission-critical communications customers. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will bridge the gap between strategy and execution—leading efforts to streamline complex implementations, orchestrate Go-To-Market (GTM) rollouts, and architect scalable internal workflows. Additionally, you will partner directly with APX Customer Support Advocates (CSAs) to resolve operational friction points, handle customer escalations (e.g., billing, invoicing, and service tracking), construct executive performance dashboards, and deliver weekly status updates to leadership stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Cross-Functional Initiatives: Lead the end-to-end project management of critical Business Operations initiatives, acting as the central hub connecting Services, Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.
  • Support APX CSAs & Operational Escalations: Partner with APX Customer Support Advocates to streamline customer-facing operational processes, stepping in to resolve complex billing, invoicing, licensing, and service delivery issues.
  • Build Operational Dashboards & Reporting: Design, construct, and maintain dynamic performance dashboards using tools like Tableau, Jira, or Salesforce to track project health, operational throughput, and ecosystem metrics.
  • Manage Stakeholder Communications: Establish a structured cadence for distributing comprehensive weekly status updates, risk assessments, and executive summaries to leadership.
  • Facilitate Ecosystem Deployment Improvements: Drive continuous improvement initiatives for complex mobile video, fixed video, and APX ecosystem deployments in partnership with customer-facing delivery teams.
  • Orchestrate GTM Rollouts: Partner with cross-functional leaders to plan, track, and execute Go-To-Market strategies, ensuring all operational prerequisites are met for successful product and feature launches.
  • Scale Internal Processes: Analyze existing business workflows to identify bottlenecks and friction points, designing and deploying scalable, efficient internal processes that support enterprise growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in project management, business operations, or a similar cross-functional execution role within a large enterprise or complex tech/hardware environment.
  • Operational Support: Hands-on experience supporting customer-facing teams or managing operational escalations (invoicing, billing resolution, order tracking).
  • Domain Knowledge: Direct exposure to or working knowledge of mobile video (body-worn, in-car), fixed video surveillance, or mission-critical communications (e.g., APX P25 radios).
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of enterprise project management, business intelligence, and CRM tools (e.g., Planview, Jira, Smartsheet, Salesforce, Tableau), including hands-on experience building operational dashboards.
  • Execution & Reporting Mindset: Track record of managing GTM rollouts, technical implementations, and regular executive status communications.
  • Analytical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to leverage data to drive decision-making, measure project success, and turn raw data into actionable stakeholder reports.
  • Exceptional Collaboration: High emotional intelligence with a proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25% as required for this position.

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 USD
