The Opportunity

Flock Safety is seeking a Manager on the finance team who will support the supply chain and operations functions. As we have rapidly built out our suite of hardware products, the complexity of our capex spend has increased and we are looking for a manager to help scale our modeling capabilities and be at the center of strategic projects. This role will sit at an exciting intersection between the teams that build, sell, and implement our hardware and will drive all modeling & data analysis to support decision making across our capex spend.

The Skillset

• 3-6 years Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Consulting, or a related business field

• An expert in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, who enjoys solving complex and unstructured problems

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Solid project management skills, ability to independently manage tasks on time

• Comfortable working in a very fast-paced, high-growth business environment

• Work effectively and collaboratively cross functionally with your business partners

• High proficiency in Google Sheets with ability to compile, transform, analyze, and present complex data sets

• Proficiency in a data tools (Sigma) and a FP&A tools (Pigment)

• Knowledge of hardware products or experience at a hardware company a plus

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or related field

The First 30 Days

• Improve inventory modeling and forecasting by automating and upgrading the current models

• Understanding Data sources & Models

• Diving Deep through the Data

• Understand Engineering/product/hardware

The First 60 Days

• Deeply understand our capex spend and the things that drive our capex spend

• Providing insights on areas of opportunity within capex spend

• Improved the accuracy of our Accessory Modeling and the information we use to make accessory ordering decisions. Specifically, we need to better monitor inventory consumption trends of new product accessories.

90 Days & Beyond

• Owner of all capex and inventory modeling

• Improved the data we use to make production decisions during the Demand Planning Meeting

• Find Opportunities to generate savings in our Capex Spend

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $119,000 and $140,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
