At Fetch, we value curiosity, adaptability, and the confidence to explore new tools, especially AI, to drive smarter, faster work. We welcome learners who move fast, challenge the status quo, and shape what’s next, with us.  Ranked as one of America’s Best Startup Employers by Forbes for two years in a row, Fetch fosters a people-first culture rooted in trust, accountability, and innovation. We encourage our employees to challenge ideas, think bigger, and always bring the fun to Fetch.
About the Role:
As Director of Strategic Finance, you will serve as the primary finance partner to Fetch’s Chief Product Officer and Product organization, owning the financial framework behind Fetch’s points economy and product experimentation. This newly created role within Product Finance will bring P&L-level rigor to how points investments are sized, prioritized, measured, and scaled.

This role is pivotal in shaping Fetch’s revenue growth strategy, improving points budgeting, and maximizing incremental user value/behavior per dollar of points investment. You will work on a tight knit product finance team and play a large cross functional role touching many crucial parts of the business. This role will report to the Senior Director of Product Finance.

This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Own points experimentation economics end-to-end. Partner with Product and Data Science on every points-related test (onboarding incentives, lapsed user reengagement, at-risk mitigation) - from pre-launch cost modeling through post-launch results readout.
  • Set the financial framework for experimentation. Define how points-based experiments are sized, prioritized, and evaluated by connecting incremental user behavior to points cost, downstream monetization, retention, and ROI—ensuring Product and Finance are optimizing against a shared economic objective.
  • Deliver points forecasts and BvA commentary that explain drivers of variance to leadership and finance stakeholders.
  • Own the points economics narrative for leadership. Represent Product Finance across MBRs, Monthly Collective Reviews, Annual Planning, Board materials, and other executive forums; serve as the subject-matter expert on points economics, investment performance, and the health of Fetch's points economy.
  • Drive points investment allocation across Product and Tech orgs. Partner with Product leadership to identify where incremental points investment generates the highest return, inform tradeoffs across initiatives, and recommend where Fetch should increase, reduce, or reallocate spend.
  • Build ad hoc analyses on points economics to support investor materials, Board questions, and leadership decision-making.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, StratOps, or related finance roles, with significant experience supporting experimentation in a high-growth technology or AdTech environment.
  • Direct experience with loyalty/points/rewards program economics - issuance, redemption, and breakage modeling - strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in project management and navigating complex and ambiguous environments.
  • High ownership mentality with a demonstrated ability to build new processes, frameworks, and operating rhythms from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior Product/R&D leaders and translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presence, with experience working on high-performing teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial planning tools, BI platforms, SQL, Eppo, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of how the user growth engine operates.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
