Boston Dynamics is the world leader in mobile robotics, solving the hardest problems in the field – and with Atlas, building the most capable humanoid robot on the planet. For years, our awe-inspiring viral videos on YouTube have shown the world what remarkably capable robots can do. Today that vision is moving out of the lab and into the real economy: Spot and Stretch are already deployed across the world's largest factories, warehouses, and energy sites, and Atlas is on the path to joining them.

We are seeking a highly accomplished, results-driven Staff Strategy Analyst to join our Strategy team, reporting directly to the Director of Strategy Analytics. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the center of the decision-making engine of the company bringing the humanoid revolution out of the lab and into the real economy. You will own the analyses, models, and narratives that go directly to the CEO and Board, and you will watch your work translate into real product, commercial, and capital allocation decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Analysis & Modeling:

    • Lead the development of complex business and financial models – long-range forecasts, market sizing, M&A and corporate development cases, capital allocation, unit economics, and cost / margin optimization – to evaluate strategic options and quantify their financial impact.

    • Design and execute quantitative analyses across market trends, competitive dynamics, and internal performance drivers, and turn them into a clear point of view

  • Business Storytelling & Communication:

    • Translate complex analytical findings into clear and compelling narratives for senior leadership and Board-level audiences.

    • Own the end-to-end build of executive presentations – from structure to slide craft – ensuring the story and the visuals are both at a top-tier standard.

  • Cross-Functional Execution:

    • Drive strategic initiatives end-to-end, partnering closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, and the business unit GMs. A large share of the impact in this role comes from orchestrating work across these teams and pulling the right people in at the right moments.

    • Develop and track the KPIs and operating metrics.

  • Physical AI & Technology Lens:

    • Serve as an internal thought partner on emerging trends in robotics, AI, and automation, and how they reshape the opportunity set for Boston Dynamics.

    • Provide strategic input into technology investments, product roadmaps, and partnership decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience top-tier management consulting (e.g., MBB), investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.

  • Modeling Proficiency: Exceptional proficiency in Excel, including advanced financial modeling, scenario analysis, and the discipline to build models that hold up under executive scrutiny.

  • Data & Market Research: Strong ability to gather and synthesize a wide range of sources – company financials, end-user usage data, industry reports, expert interviews – into a defensible point of view.

  • Communication: Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, with the ability to structure and deliver persuasive arguments and visually impactful presentations to senior audiences.

  • Cross-Functional Operating Style: Track record of operating effectively across functions and earning trust quickly with senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the technology, robotics, or industrials sectors, or advising clients in those sectors.

  • Corporate Finance Depth: Comfort with valuation, capital structure, and full three-statement modeling.

  • Corporate Development / M&A Experience: Prior exposure to deal sourcing, diligence, or integration – buy-side or sell-side.

  • Education: MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier institution.

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas for this position.

The base pay range for this position is between $101,545.95 to $126,932.44 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Boston Dynamics offers a generous Benefits package including medical, dental vision, 401(k), paid time off and a annual bonus structure. Additional details regarding these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer for employment.
