Role: Staff Backend Software Engineer (PYTHON)

Location: MUST be local to Dallas, TX – position will work Hybrid (minimum 2 days in office)

Must be able to Attend - In-person Interviews in our Dallas office location

You'll provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and help shape our engineering practices while delivering high-quality applications that meet business objectives.
• As a key player in the Gen AI team, you will work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of Generative AI and machine learning in supply chain applications.
• The ideal candidate loves to code with a passion for innovation and problem-solving. This is not a research role.

Required Skills

We are looking for a Software Engineer with Python expertise and a foundational understanding of Generative AI (GenAI). The ideal candidate should have experience working with Azure AI services, integrating LLMs (Large Language Models), and developing AI-powered applications. This role involves working on AI-driven solutions, leveraging cloud-based AI models, and ensuring seamless integration into software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Python Development: Write clean, scalable, and efficient Python code for AI-driven applications.
• Azure AI Integration: Utilize Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and AI models for development.
• Basic GenAI Implementation: Work with pre-trained LLMs (GPT, Azure AI Models, etc.) for automation and NLP tasks.
• Prompt Engineering: Design and test effective prompts to enhance AI responses.
• Data Handling: Process and structure text data for AI/ML applications.
• API Development & Integration: Work with RESTful APIs, OpenAI API, and Azure AI Services.
• Version Control & CI/CD: Use Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Programming: Strong experience in Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI preferred).

Generative AI Knowledge: Understanding of Azure OpenAI models, LLMs, and NLP basics.

Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with Azure AI Services (Cognitive Services, OpenAI, etc.).

Databases: Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.

AI/ML Basics: Knowledge of pre-trained AI models, embeddings, and vector databases (optional).

Development Tools: Experience with Git, Docker, and basic CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

➕ Hands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning or AI model fine-tuning.

➕ Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AI-enhanced search technologies.

➕ Exposure to ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

The salary range for this position is $130,023 to $163,977.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
