Sr Staff Hardware DevOps Engineer

Mission: The Hardware Infrastructure team in Groq is responsible for architecting and supporting a world class pre- and post-silicon ASIC development and verification environments that optimizes the productivity of our hardware and software engineering teams.

Responsibilities & outcomes:

  • Work closely with our systems engineering team to bring up and deploy new hardware product platforms including integrating those new platforms into established build, delivery, and verification frameworks.
  • Automate and integrate flows into Groq’s overall infrastructure (including package management, CI/CD, analytics, dashboards) to streamline our development cycle.
  • Collaborate with software teams to work towards an integrated hardware/software development flow.
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams to create system-level tests (SLTs) to validate new hardware platforms.

Ideal candidates have/are:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in hardware or software development.  Previous experience in ASIC design, verification, or CAD would be an asset.
  • Experience coding in Python, tcl, and make.
  • Working knowledge of standardized build systems (Bazel/Ninja), CI/CD pipelines, job scheduling tools (e.g. slurm/lsf) and container frameworks (e.g. Kubernetes/docker) would be an asset.
  • Experience with database development and analytics and reporting frameworks (e.g. Grafana).
  • Nix/Haskell knowledge would be an asset.
  • Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $220,000 - $335,000, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
