Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.
Tenstorrent is seeking an engineer passionate about bridging pre-silicon and post-silicon verification to accelerate AI SoC development. This role offers the chance to work hands-on with emulation platforms, debug complex silicon issues, and collaborate across design, verification, and lab teams.
This role is hybrid, based out of Boston, Toronto, Ottawa or Santa Clara.
We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.
Who You Are
- Experienced in emulation (ZeBu, Veloce, Palladium) and silicon debug workflows.
- Skilled in scripting (Python, Tcl, Bash) for automation and test content generation.
- Analytical and methodical, thriving in root-cause investigations and complex debug loops.
- Strong communicator who thrives in collaborative, cross-disciplinary environments.
What We Need
- Build and debug pre-silicon testbenches and execute test plans using emulation tools.
- Reproduce silicon bugs in emulation and drive root-cause analysis across hardware/software boundaries.
- Support post-silicon bring-up and lab debug, closing coverage gaps between pre- and post-silicon.
- Mentor peers, refine debug flows, and integrate AI-driven dev tools to boost efficiency.
What You Will Learn
- Advanced emulation workflows bridging design verification and silicon lab environments.
- Techniques for multi-discipline debug with DFD, firmware, and hardware teams.
- Cutting-edge SoC debug strategies leveraging AI tools and automation.
- System-level bring-up and characterization for state-of-the-art AI SoCs.
