What You'll Bring:
- College or University degree/diploma in computer science or comparable experience in data processing preferred.
- 4 + years of Data Asset experience.
- Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and within a group.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with Salesforce would be an asset.
- Experience with process improvements would be an asset.
Impact You'll Make:
The major responsibilities of this position include providing primary support for our reporting customers to ensure that data meets the internal quality and integrity standards. Support internal and external customers regarding the requirements for reporting data and resolving data quality issues. Works with large customers and complex data portfolios.
- Monitor and manage all incoming data from existing data suppliers, ensure data integrity and quality controls are met, work with customers to resolve data quality issues.
- Ensure incoming data is loaded within established timeliness and issues are escalated to external and internal contacts for resolution.
- Monitor receipt of data from suppliers and follow-up on missing data. Recommend data suppliers for termination for failing to meet data quality standards, frequency or minimum account requirements.
- Identifies opportunities within the customer’s data portfolio. Work with existing data suppliers on projects that impact incoming data (format change, new data portfolio etc.).
- Work with new data suppliers regarding data submissions to TransUnion, test, and evaluate quality of data during testing process.
- Make recommendations for data quality improvements. Make recommendation for data acceptance or decline.
- Work within the SOP for new data suppliers.
- Complete annual audit and data quality review for customers who supply 80% of the data. Document recommendations and take responsibility for identified improvements from the meeting.
- Web Updates Site: provide online and in person training, maintain administration registration information, recommend enhancements to the site based on customer feedback and incoming effort.
- Participate in requirements provision, user acceptance testing and User Guide maintenance.
- Educate existing and potential data suppliers on the data reporting standards for TransUnion.
- Review Standard Operating Procedures and documents on an annual basis, recommends improvements to processes and standard reporting.
- Review and recommend enhancements to tools, identifies opportunities for automation and improved monitoring for data asset management.
- Document business requirements, and prepare business case and supporting documents as required.
- Develop documentation as required (new data type / data quality standards / testing standards).
- Assist with training new associates and takes a leadership role within the department.
- Work on special projects as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
