About the RoleWe’re hiring a Full-Time Staff Accountant to help scale our day-to-day accounting operations as Tava grows. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career or looking to grow into broader ownership who enjoys clean reconciliations, thrives in a startup environment, and wants broad exposure across core accounting processes.
You’ll own essential daily accounting activities while gaining increasing exposure to month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support. You’ll partner closely with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Customer Success (CS) and serve as a key point of contact for finance-related questions across the company. This is a high-impact opportunity for an analytical, process-minded individual who’s eager to grow their skill set while contributing to a mission that truly matters.
Responsibilities📅 Core Accounting OperationsManage daily accounting activities, including transaction coding, reconciliations, and customer payment posting
Prepare reports to support RCM reconciliation and participate in the month-end close
Assist with AR and AP functions, including billing, vendor management, and coordination with Customer Success
Serve as a point of contact for internal finance questions and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Assist with audit requests, annual reporting, and special accounting projects as needed
1–2 years of accounting experience (startup experience a strong plus)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MAcc preferred but not required
Brings a puzzle-solver mindset to repetitive or detail-heavy tasks, with curiosity and creativity to spot patterns and find solutions
Familiarity with healthcare, benefits, AI or accounting tech is a plus
Highly detail-oriented with strong spreadsheet skills (Excel and Google Sheets)
Able to manage multiple recurring deadlines with consistency and accuracy
Comfortable navigating multiple systems and large datasets
Strong organizational and documentation habits
Communicates clearly and professionally
Manages tasks independently and knows how to prioritize
