Job Description:

The Sr. Web Developer and leadership role that reports directly to the Senior Web Development Manager. This position is responsible for leading the design, development, testing, debugging and configuration of web-based and mobile-friendly software products and applications. Additionally, this individual will provide leadership and guidance to the Digital Marketing/Website Experience team through coaching and mentorship, with a goal of successful project delivery, while maintaining high standards of code quality, following best practices, and leading by example.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of web-based and mobile web-based applications using technologies such as .NET, JS libraries, and SQL Server databases.
  • Develop applications, templates, and components for Content Management Systems such as Sitecore, Adobe AEM, or Sitefinity.
  • Define and encourage best practices for the full software development life cycle, including adhering to coding standards, setting up and maintaining builds for continuous integration, designing and coding enterprise framework components, and performing code reviews.
  • Investigate and solve challenging time sensitive production support issues.
  • Work in an agile, rapid development, and prototyping environment.
  • Develop and optimize front-end UI to ensure the application is rendered consistently for all browsers and devices.
  • Must be able to build responsive and elegant web applications that are scalable.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive work experience designing and developing web-based and mobile applications.
  • Required: 3+ years of web development experience working with digital marketing teams.
  • Ability to provide guidance and influence outcomes via coaching and mentoring other marketing team members.
  • Skilled in development for Content Management Systems such as Sitecore, Adobe AEM, or Sitefinity.
  • Excellent understanding of client-side development (JavaScript, JQuery. HTML, CSS and related technologies).
  • Expert with application development tools such as Visual Studio.
  • Significant development experience in server-side languages such as C#.
  • Strong working knowledge of relational databases and the ability to write database queries in MS SQL Server.
  • Experience in working with cloud systems (SaaS & PaaS), specifically for application hosting, file storage, and other related concerns.
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party services, including social applications (e.g. Facebook, Twitter).
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari, etc.).
  • Exposure to source control systems (GitHub, SVN, etc.).
  • Experience working with Product and Business Management teams.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality products, performs well in an agile team environment, learns quickly, and desires to continuously develop relevant technical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify solutions to problems.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, Digital Marketing or equivalent work experience; may have technology certifications.

Work Location & Flexibility

This position can be located remotely however if the candidate is based in our Minneapolis location the office follows a hybrid work model. Employees in these locations are expected to work on-site a minimum of two days per week. Please note that specific business units or role requirements may necessitate additional in-office days based on team collaboration needs or operational priorities.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position based on a good faith assessment of the role and market data at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. This position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or overtime if applicable. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a retirement savings plan, paid time off, and other employee benefits. Specific details will be provided during the interview process. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

$83,800.00 - $141,500.00
