Experience: You have 4–8 years of experience designing software applications for web and mobile. You must be able to contribute directly to the product and design in collaboration with your PM for a primary feature area.
Design abilities: You can design beautiful, intuitive experiences*.* You’re open to feedback, and you can create flows that guide users intuitively through their tasks while accounting for micro-interactions along the way. You’re keeping up with the rapid changes in design processes made possible by AI tools.
Speed, & intuition: We move quickly as a product organization, so you should have an instinct for what makes a feature worth designing (i.e., customers need it) and what the minimum is to ship a quality experience.
Design System & UX Patterns: You're familiar with and respect design systems. We want consistency across the entire app experience so you must be able to understand and use our existing design system and patterns, and feel comfortable proposing adjustments when needed.
Mindset & Philosophy (Why you might want to work with us)We’re a small and efficient design team. Expect meaningful ownership in your areas, and cross-app collaboration.
Product demand is extremely high, and our company is growing rapidly. You’ll get to spend time building features you already know customers are desperate for.

Finding the ideal fit for a role is an art, so we like to keep the process flexible as we get to know you, and you get to know us. But here are some steps you can more or less count on:
We screen aggressively on portfolio sites/case studies and résumés. This is the first, and possibly most important moment to show your visual design abilities.
30–45 minute design review. We’ll spend time understanding how you make decisions, how you respond to feedback, and how you collaborate with PM/engineering partners.
A paid trial week (at your standard contracting rate) where you will be paired with a product manager and engineer on a needed feature, check in daily, and collaborate with the rest of the design team.
This is as much about you getting a sense of fit as it is us.
Availability during normal work hours is important (the closer to 40 hours, the better we’ll be able to get a feel for working together), but we know schedules vary widely. We’ll work with you to make a plan.
