Job Summary & Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Carestream Dental is a market leader in dental imaging and practice management software (DPMS). On the software side of the business, we provide practice management solutions to dental, oral surgery, and orthodontic practices.

Our software is designed to help practices streamline workflows, reduce manual steps, and improve day-to-day operations. The platform supports key areas of the business, including patient and office workflows, reporting and analytics, financial operations, and overall practice efficiency.

We are looking for an Inside Software Sales Manager (DPMS) to lead a team focused on engaging our existing software customer base. This team works closely with practices to understand their needs, identify opportunities to improve their workflows, and guide them through upgrade paths and additional solutions that solve meaningful operational challenges.

This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the VP of Inside Sales. We are seeking a manager who is disciplined in execution, strong in coaching, and brings a background in KPI driven management within a quota carrying sales environment.

KEY/SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team of Account Managers focused on driving revenue from existing customers.
  • Drive a structured sales process, coaching the team to prospect into accounts, run quality conversations and account reviews, ask strong discovery questions that uncover workflow challenges, position new offerings that solve those problems, deliver presentations and demos, and close the business (asking for the sale, objection handling, etc.).
  • Coach and develop the team by listening to calls, understanding each rep's challenges, and using practice and roleplay to sharpen their pitches and get them into more customer conversations.
  • Own and drive team performance across key KPIs including calls/contacts/conversations, pipeline creation, demos and sales pitches, proposals sent, and closes.
  • Track and update KPIs on a weekly basis and inspect team performance regularly to identify trends, coaching opportunities, and gaps to address.
  • Train and enable the team to incorporate new products into their pitches as they launch.
  • Partner closely with the VP of Inside Sales to execute on the broader sales strategy.

REQUIRED SKILLS/PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience managing an inside sales team selling software (SaaS).
  • Strong orientation toward driving revenue and selling, not only supporting customers.
  • Experience with prospecting and a structured sales process.
  • Experience coaching reps hands on, including listening to calls and demos, running roleplays, and getting into the weeds to develop them.
  • Ability to drive accountability, holding reps to key indicators and performance standards.
  • Ability to interview and hire talented sales professionals.
  • Dental or medical software industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • 3-5 years as a Sales Manager of an inside sales team

EDUCATION (Required/Preferred):

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience

COMPENSATION: $150,000 to $200,000 USD OTE (split between base and commission), based on experience.
