Job Description

Your role:

  • Leads the end-to-end design, implementation, and deployment of complex infrastructure solutions, ensuring technical architectures align with client requirements, business objectives, and industry best practices. Serves as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, providing expert guidance on infrastructure strategies, emerging technologies, and solution roadmaps that support informed decision-making.
  • Drives the implementation, integration, and optimization of advanced infrastructure environments, ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms, third-party applications, and legacy systems. Collaborates closely with stakeholders to define system architectures, recommend deployment strategies, and deliver scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.
  • Functions as a senior technical expert responsible for troubleshooting highly complex infrastructure issues, conducting in-depth root cause analysis, and implementing long-term corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Performs advanced testing, validation, and performance optimization activities to maximize system reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Establishes and maintains robust configuration management, version control, and governance processes that ensure consistency, traceability, and stability across infrastructure environments. Develops comprehensive technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing resources to support ongoing maintenance and organizational effectiveness.
  • Champions continuous improvement and innovation by staying current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving best practices. Leverages deep expertise in company products and services to provide advanced technical support, introduce new solutions, and drive enhancements that improve performance, resilience, and client outcomes.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 8+ years of experience in areas such as Infrastructure Engineering Support, Cloud Technologies, System Administration, Systems Architecture or similar, within a Health Tech, Hospital or Med device environment.
  • Your skills include:
    • In depth IT knowledge including proficiency in virtualization, SQL, Microsoft OS, Linux and Citrix.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a highly complex, customer-facing and global environment.
    • Experience with Rhapsody and supporting/deploying XML and/or DICOM interfaces - strongly preferred.
  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or similar field of study.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in MA is $142,000 to $227,000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.    

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Cambridge, MA.
