Job Summary:

The Pricing Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of BJs pricing strategies. Reporting to the Director of Pricing, this is a highly visible role where you will collaborate with senior leaders in Merchandising, Finance and Enterprise Analytics, and will also be responsible for ensuring the organizations strategic pricing objectives are met.  The Pricing Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring that BJ’s delivers on our promise to deliver value to our members every day.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Lead a team of Pricing Analysts to develop, set and execute pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals for competitiveness and profitability

• Conduct ad-hoc/special projects to support merchandising, finance, or marketing

• Proactively identify future strategic opportunities in the Pricing area

• Develop clear problem-solving approaches to answering our strategic questions, turning them into concrete work-plans that can be executed against our deadlines

• Develop impactful communication materials (ppt/word/email) for senior leadership, clearly articulating the problem at hand, the insights from the work, the proposed solution, and next steps

• Present confidently in meetings with senior leadership, turning meetings into collaborative working sessions

• Coach and develop a team of direct reports to ensure their career development

Qualifications

•  5-10 years of experience in Merchandising, Analytics and/or Pricing

•  Demonstrated ability to frame and logically structure new or unfamiliar problems

•  Ability to learn quickly, becoming an expert in previously unfamiliar topics

•  Developed business judgement to problem-solve effectively

•  Deep analytical skills and comfort with statistics and with manipulating large datasets

•  Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Alteryx and / or MS Access

•  Strong communication skills

•  Flexibility and openness to reprioritizing work based on evolving business needs

•  Experience in leading and developing a team of direct reports

•  Cross functional leadership: Openness to different points of view, empathy, and good listening skills to enable fruitful collaboration with our internal partners (Merchandising, Marketing, etc.)

•  Pricing / Promotions experience is a plus

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $122,500.00.
